00:00 mangrove cat snake up in this tree. I'm gonna climb up and grab it out. So he
00:04 almost had to get his hand amputated from a bite from the species. Yes. Big King
00:08 Cobra out here in the jungle of Borneo. This is one of the species that we
00:12 wanted to film out here. Out here there is no antivenom so if you get bitten
00:16 good luck surviving.
00:19 The wild lands of Borneo is an ecosystem that is filled with life. Animals and
00:27 trees that are endemic to this country meaning they're found nowhere else in
00:32 the world. It's a country that I've always wanted to spend time exploring
00:36 and for the past two weeks we've been out here living in the jungle with the
00:40 locals looking for some of the deadliest. I think you might have got that.
00:46 Okay Harry. Okay. Some of the rarest. There is a big male orangutan just walking out
00:53 right now. He is massive and some of the most unusual creatures to walk this
00:58 earth. So we've just spotted a false swamp toad. I might climb up here and see
01:02 if I can grab him. Got him. Whoa. He is massive. This is my final episode here in
01:09 Borneo and once again it's gonna be a pretty crazy one. Enjoy.
01:14 [Music]
01:17 So this is a blood python out here in the village. They're a very fast species
01:37 of snake. Very fast striking species. We'll see if he goes the camera or me in
01:42 a minute. He's looking at me. Oh. Did he get you? No he didn't get me. They're a
01:48 beautiful species of snake. Very fat. Very small. Oh. There he goes. Very fast as well.
01:56 Very fast snake. Non-venomous though. If I got bitten I'd be totally okay. But they
02:01 live down in holes inside the ground so when their holes fill up with water
02:05 they'll have to come out here and that's when they can come in contact with
02:08 villagers. Pretty cool though. Look at that blood python. I'd have to say the
02:16 craziest experience I had while I was over in Borneo was working with that
02:22 giant five meter king cobra deep in the jungle. Take a look at that right there.
02:27 This is a massive snake. This is what we were looking for out here in the jungle
02:32 of Borneo. And he's looking at me right now. He was just eyeing off my cameraman.
02:35 This is a species that you do not want to get bitten by all the way out here. So
02:40 he's fixated on my guide at the moment and what I'm gonna do is slowly pick it
02:47 up. Being very careful. Oh. Take a look at that. Big king cobra out here in the
02:57 jungle of Borneo. Look at that. That is a magnificent snake and a snake big enough
03:04 to take down an elephant with the amount of venom that it carries in its venom
03:08 glands and a snake big enough to take down 20 of me. You can't get bitten by
03:14 this snake out here. Highly venomous species but a beautiful animal. An
03:19 absolutely amazing animal and this experience right here is what I wanted
03:25 to have. Coming to the wild lands of Borneo out here in the jungle looking
03:30 for these snakes, looking for orangutans, looking for all these animals and I'm
03:35 gonna remember this moment right here but gotta be very careful. I'm gonna put
03:39 him back down.
03:41 And we did so many other crazy things on this trip to Borneo. It's hard to choose
03:51 just one but that whole day was so intense. We started off the morning
03:56 catching a baby king cobra, then a five meter king cobra, spitting cobra, one of
04:01 the most venomous snakes on earth, the red-headed krait and right after
04:06 filming that big king cobra we even found a giant reticulated python. The
04:10 longest snake in the world. I'll show you a clip. Take a look at this right here.
04:14 That is a massive reticulated python out here in the jungle.
04:24 This is a huge snake. Very strong animal. Take a look at the size of him.
04:35 Come on buddy. Oh you're okay. Whoa! He's got a mouth filled with fangs and he's
04:41 incredibly strong. They're the longest species of snake in the world. Longer
04:45 than the anacondas. On this adventure we found so many different snakes so far.
04:54 About an hour ago, you can see this guy's about to strike. He's loading up at the
04:58 moment. We found a big king cobra, five meters long and now we found this guy.
05:04 And I can tell when he's about to strike, he kind of gives me a warning. He opens
05:08 up his mouth a little bit. I'll see if I can move around. If we'll do it again
05:12 alright. Ready? Three, two, one. There we go. You know that's not a warning that a
05:20 small animal or when they get big enough even a human will get because they're
05:24 camouflaged hunters. He'll be sitting next to a game trail waiting for someone
05:28 or something to walk past, strike out, wrap it up in that body and this snake
05:33 would be so strong. Every breath that animal takes he'll squeeze tighter. He'll
05:38 keep squeezing tighter until there's no air left in the animal and then he will
05:42 swallow it whole. Absolutely amazing snake. I reckon I might bring him out
05:46 into the open a little bit and see if we can get him to calm down and actually
05:51 handle him.
05:53 Whoa, nearly got me mate.
05:59 Just lift him up right now.
06:10 There we go. You can kind of get a bit of an understanding about how big this
06:17 snake is right now. He is massive.
06:23 This trip to Borneo has seriously been crazy. We've spent a lot of the time out
06:30 here in the bush looking for snakes and it's paying off because we found some
06:34 epic creatures, epic animals and had some crazy experiences and this is what I
06:40 wanted coming out here and this is what I'm going to be filming for the next few
06:45 years on my videos. So if you want to be a part of this journey subscribe to the
06:50 channel, leave a like, comment down below and yeah you get to see more adventures
06:55 like this. I'm so tired right now. We're going to keep walking through this
07:00 forest see if we can find some other snakes but mate I'm stoked with that.
07:07 Why wouldn't you be?
07:10 Yeah looking back on that day that was such an intense and crazy day. No margin
07:23 for error. One mistake out there with any of those species especially something
07:28 like a big king cobra will cost you your life but now I have all of these amazing
07:34 experiences, the most amazing things I've ever done in my life and little did I
07:38 know later that night I would have a connection with a certain animal that I
07:43 still think about and feel to this day.
07:52 So this is what people have as pets over here in Borneo. So this is the biggest
07:58 water monitor lizard that I have ever seen and I'm just chilling with him
08:03 right now. Oh there he goes, he's climbing over me. He's okay. The hand is almost the
08:09 same like your... Such an incredible lizard look at the size of him. Now out
08:15 in the wild these guys would be feeding on fish, other lizards, snakes. Yeah
08:21 snakes and also controlling the snake population too because they eat the
08:25 snake eggs. So we're going out in the speedboat at the moment looking for
08:30 mangrove cat snakes. Just as it's getting dark we'll probably stay out there after
08:34 dark see what we can find.
08:38 (Music)
08:54 Also big saltwater crocodiles living in this creek as well alongside these
08:59 snakes. So we've just found the first mangrove cat snake, a mildly venomous
09:05 species in the boiga family up in this tree or above croc water at the moment.
09:09 I'm gonna climb up and grab it out.
09:13 Alright so we got him right here. There we go.
09:22 Big fella. Alright I'll let him get through that. Well I got one. There we go.
09:35 Alright bring him down. There we go. Yeah. So we're just out here in the mangroves
09:43 in saltwater crocodile country and I just caught this big mangrove cat snake,
09:49 a mildly venomous species of snake out here in the mangroves but he's such a
09:54 gorgeous animal. This is the snake that we were looking for, the one we wanted to
09:58 find out here in Borneo and we did it. And they're an arboreal species meaning
10:03 they spend most of their life up there in the canopy and what he's feeding on
10:07 out here in the mangroves, little birds, little lizards, mainly a diet of birds
10:12 like the boiga irregularis. Their scientific name is boiga dendropila.
10:16 The scientific name of this species and this whole family of
10:22 boiga irregularis, boiga whatever I just said. They're beautiful snakes.
10:30 Yeah that is honestly one of the most amazing colored and gentle snakes that I've ever caught.

11:28 It's honestly crazy how much this snake has calmed down since we first caught it.
11:37 I think you can feel the good energy, those good vibes and you can really get a
11:41 deeper connection with an animal like this. Just looking into this snakes eyes
11:46 right now. It's a very powerful animal. You can see how the people around this area
11:53 don't kill these snakes because they believe that they carry black magic.
11:57 There is also a case that some community here got bitten with this. His hand is
12:04 swollen. So maybe he had an allergic reaction to the venom.
12:09 The doctor almost amputated his hand. So he almost had to get his hand
12:14 amputated from a bite from the species. Yes, it's just a very few case.
12:19 Very few case and it can happen with any snake bite, mildly venomous snake or anything.
12:24 There you go mate.
12:29 Thank you for that experience mate. That is awesome. Alright let's go find some more.
12:42 Shine on. You got one. Pretty epic catch. Be careful of the crocodiles.
13:07 It's alright, the crocodile doesn't like local people. I hope so. Pretty crazy catch by the boys.
13:13 They spotted this snake actually swimming across the river. Jumped in
13:17 after it before I could tell him to stop because this river is infested with
13:20 crocodiles. But they managed to get him. They say that the crocodiles don't eat
13:24 locals because they're too spicy. We got another mangrove cat snake right there.
13:29 The snake that we were looking for tonight. Pretty epic night out here
13:32 looking for these snakes.
13:35 [Music]
13:50 Alright, get it out of the water.
13:54 [Music]
14:03 Yeah I still think about that mangrove cat snake and feel that connection to
14:07 this day. I'm definitely gonna go back in the next 12 months and we'll see if she
14:11 can find me again. Yeah magical snake. The next day my mate Diaz wanted to show me
14:16 one of his pet king cobras. So we took it out to the jungle and what we wanted to
14:20 show you is that these snakes do have venom. They're still dangerous. They're
14:24 not like the ones in the snake charmer documentaries that have had their fangs
14:28 removed. I was getting a few comments saying that these snakes must have had
14:32 their fangs removed. If this next clip doesn't change your mind about that I
14:35 don't think anything will. So this right here is a big king cobra out here in the
14:40 jungle of Borneo. This is one of the species that we wanted to film out here.
14:44 It's so cool to film these guys again but this one right here is a different
14:48 locality. So you can see those amazing colors that he's got on him and if I
14:52 grab him like this he's straight on to me.
14:59 If I just pick him up like this right now. They're the longest venomous snake
15:04 in the world and the scientific name for these king cobras is Opiopagus hana
15:08 which means snake eater. They're a cannibalistic snake. So this guy in his
15:13 lifetime would have definitely eaten a few other king cobras and other species
15:17 of snakes out here in the jungle. So by controlling those snake populations
15:20 there's not heaps of snakes that are going into villagers houses here getting
15:24 in contact with people.
15:27 And you can see got to be very careful when dealing with this snake like this
15:36 because out here there is no anti-venom. So if you get bitten good luck surviving.
15:41 They have huge venom glands at the front of their mouth right there. Okay guys to
15:46 prove this snake are still have a fang. So it's not a fangless or still have a venom.
15:56 (Sounds of snake eating venom)
16:03 So what we're doing right now is just milking this big king cobra to show you
16:08 that these guys do have venom. Ready? Oh look at that. And if that went into your
16:15 system all of that venom right there you would be in so much trouble out here in
16:19 the bush. So the reason why this snake right here can kill you in 30 minutes
16:24 is because they have a neurotoxic venom that is very potent. One of the most
16:28 venomous snakes on earth. And not only that they have so much venom in those
16:33 massive venom glands. Because they're the biggest venomous snake in the world
16:36 their venom glands are absolutely massive. Enough venom to kill an elephant
16:40 and enough venom to kill 20 of us standing right here. Yeah. But yeah pretty
16:44 crazy. Look at the fang. So they have a proteroglipha fang. Belongs to the
16:50 elapid family. Yeah. Like black mamba, green mamba and also taipan. Inland taipan
16:55 too from Australia. They have also proteroglipha fang. Like this one. Small
17:00 but deadly. And that concludes my two-week trip over in Borneo. A country
17:07 filled with so many beautiful people. So much amazing flora and fauna. I love
17:13 Borneo and I'm so grateful that I could share this whole experience with you
17:17 here on my channel on YouTube. Yeah. Thank you so much for watching this series. It
17:21 was a really awesome one to film and I get to take all those experiences that I
17:25 had over in that country back here with me. Which I'm so grateful for. What I'm
17:30 gonna leave you with now is a montage of some of my favorite moments that I spent
17:34 out here in the bush in Borneo. And yeah thank you so much for watching them. I'll
17:38 see you all next week in the next adventure. So just above me right here is
17:43 the first orangutan that we've actually found on foot. So after spotting a
17:47 highly venomous snake way up in the canopy a few trees away from her. I knew
17:51 it'd be the perfect opportunity to test out my climbing skills. So you can see
17:58 just up in this tree. Big pit viper.
18:04 Mangrove cat snake up in this tree right here. They're a mildly venomous snake. So
18:16 if I got bitten I would be okay. But still not a species that you want to get
18:21 a big dose of venom injected by. Oh there we go.
18:26 He's just got me on the finger. Take a look at that. Got him. And he got me as
18:34 well. What we're about to film right now is something that you do have to be
18:38 extremely careful of out here in the jungles of Borneo. Luckily enough for me
18:43 this is actually a captive animal. And if I just put my hand underneath him I'll
18:51 lift him up. So this is the biggest species of crocodile in the world. Just
19:00 another day in Borneo. The big crocodile in this pool they say it's about five
19:06 meters long. And it's actually a rescued crocodile.
19:11 So this crocodile right here his name is Sandpit and it's because he was
19:29 relocated from this river. Just underneath his chin
19:40 there's a little leech. Put him around my head so his body's not hanging down. And
19:48 we're trying to help you out mate. You're okay.
19:54 There we go. So that leech is off. These leeches will suck your blood and they're
19:59 a bit annoying so get that one off the snake. You're okay mate. Hear that little
20:03 noisy mate? Look I move his body around and his head stays still. Yeah gimbal. Is that a good shot?
20:15 So just down this hole right here is a big tarantula. They are venomous and if I
20:22 got bitten out here they do have very big fangs.
20:27, Bye. Bye. Bye.
20:44 Crazy man.
20:56 Oop, oop, oop, oop. He bite me. I don't want to bother you my brother so let's go okay.
21:04 Sorry, I'm so sorry. Come back. Beautiful. So 11 years old maybe about five or so
21:17 years ago he would have just been leaving his mother. They stay with their
21:20 mother for about five to seven years in the wild which is a long time. The only
21:26 longer time is humans which can be up to 40 years. So this is the durian fruit. The
21:30 orangutans absolutely love it out here and the locals love it as well.
21:36 A little sun shower out here in Borneo. We're on the way back now. It started raining.
21:50 Bye. Bye. Bye.
22:02 Okay ready? Ready go. Ready? Sato, one, two, three.
22:11 Oh, Mella, what happened? Oh, again.
22:14 You gotta predict when he's coming up.
22:21 Okay, let's go. Let's do it again. I think, I think they are, I think.
22:49 I hear somebody out there.
22:55 The champion. He's in the jungle. Australia wins. Let's do it again.
