World's Most Powerful UTV, 240 Hp, 7-Speed Dual Clutch, New Can-Am Maverick R Off-Road UTV 2024
The 240 hp engine, 7-speed dual clutch and massive 26 inches of wheel travel elevate performance in the side-by-side category.
Can-Am shocked the UTV world by introducing the all-new 2024 Maverick R.
The heart of the 2024 Can-Am Maverick R is the all-new turbocharged 999cc inline three-cylinder Rotax engine that produces an impressive best-in-class 240 horsepower. The new engine features upgrades such as forged aluminum pistons, plasma-coated cylinder bores, a closed-body head design, and 8 struts that extend from the crankcase to the engine block and head. Dual fuel injectors work together to feed each of the three cylinders to ensure there's always plenty of juice on tap. Each piston is equipped with an oil squirter for additional cooling, while the dry-sump oil system ensures lubrication flows even at extreme angles.
The Maverick R has three different driving modes: Normal, Sport and Sport+. Selecting the most aggressive Sport+ mode activates the engine's Advanced Response Technology (ART) system. The purpose of the ART system is to eliminate any performance lag caused by turbocharging. To achieve this, the engine deactivates the ignition on the middle cylinder while simultaneously retarding the timing on the other two cylinders and keeping the throttle body open wider.
Ditching the ubiquitous drive belt, Rotax has developed an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission exclusively for the Maverick R. The new overshift transmission provides seamless and instantaneous gear changes that can be automated or manually controlled.
The new 2024 Can-Am Maverick R is available for order starting now and will begin arriving in dealer showrooms soon. With a starting price of just $35,499, the Maverick R is quite affordable. Stepping up to the fully loaded Maverick RX RS with Smart-Shox will increase the base price to $44,299. Equipping the
