Fifteen cancer survivors inspire with catwalk and stories of survival

A special event organised by Ames Hotel in Melaka and National Cancer Society Malaysia on Saturday saw some 15 cancer survivors taking to the catwalk to raise awareness of the disease.

00:29 44-year-old breast cancer survivor Kairosafina Stumiran said most of her family members had
00:34 been diagnosed with the disease or succumbed to it.
00:37 However, she said they have a strong foundation of love in the face of adversity.
00:42 She added that her husband suffered from a stroke and they decided to stop their food
00:46 business after she and her husband were struck by illnesses.
00:54 At the fun-filled event, the participants also took to the stage to sing several songs.
