00:00 Questions?
00:01 How difficult was this, the way that the team battled back and just couldn't pull it off
00:07 against the end of it?
00:10 Yeah, I mean, obviously it's frustrating, you know, with the slow start that we had
00:17 to the game.
00:18 Kind of felt like, you know, going into the fourth quarter, we were kind of getting some
00:23 momentum.
00:24 Just got to find a way to close out the game, you know, finish stronger.
00:31 Missed a lot of opportunities that we kind of left out there, but hats off to those guys
00:36 for, you know, starting fast and, you know, making some plays at the end.
00:40 Can you tell us a little bit about after that fast start, it seemed like, you know, y'all
00:44 were able to kind of limit what they were doing a little bit.
00:47 Can you tell us a little bit about what changed or what adjustment started to work for y'all
00:50 on the defensive side?
00:51 Well, I think we was just playing our style, you know, defense.
00:55 You know, obviously coming into the game, we, you know, we started those guys best we
01:00 could, you know, in a short week and, you know, they threw the house at us.
01:05 We had a double pass, you know, a screen, you know, early on, a couple reverses.
01:11 And so, you know, for the most part, obviously, they got 17 points out of that, but, you know,
01:17 we feel like we weathered that storm.
01:19 And I think once we settled down, you know, we was kind of able to play our style of defense.
01:24 And what happened on the, from your perspective, on the catch and run from Christian Kirk?
01:30 Yeah, I think it was, you know, really, really just a great play call by those guys.
01:36 They kind of drained our frontside defenders.
01:39 And then by the time he caught it, you know, he was full speed ahead.
01:43 So, you know, we got to find a way to try to make that tackle.
01:47 I think we missed like two or three tackles on that play.
01:49 So, you know, if we get them on the ground, hold them to a field goal, you know,
01:54 maybe our offense can go down there and, you know, punch it in.
01:58 Coach Allen mentioned how much Lawrence was able to get free.
02:03 With him dealing with his knee injury, did you think he would be able to be as mobile as he was then?
02:09 Yeah, I mean, any time a player, you know, has an injury but, you know, shows up to the game,
02:16 you know, we assume that player is 100%, you know, so.
02:20 You know, he's an athletic player.
02:22 He's an athletic, you know, quarterback, you know, really extend plays and move the pocket.
02:28 So, I mean, that's a big part of his game.
02:32 Did you tell the boss or anything after the drop pass?
02:36 No.
02:38 Tyron, I know you were the nearest defender at the line on the Kirk play.
02:42 There wasn't anything you would have done differently on that play.
02:45 Was it a matter of the rest of the field was cleared out afterward?
02:48 Yeah, I mean, you know, obviously, you know, I could have been better, you know,
02:52 in that particular situation.
02:54 But, you know, like I said, that was a great, you know, play called by those guys.
02:59 You know, they was able to hit it.
03:01 Make sure to explain it the right way because obviously a lot of people will get closest to that way.
03:06 Tyron, how important are these games?
03:08 Ten days, it takes a little bit to come back.
03:10 Man, hopefully we could, you know, reset, you know, refocus.
03:16 You know, obviously look in the mirror.
03:19 I think, you know, each one of us individually, you know, we can all be better.
03:23 So, you know, obviously we'll have a weekend off and, you know, spend time with the family.
03:30 But, you know, come back to work with, you know, the intent to win.
03:36 So, you know, because that's really the only thing that matters, you know, in this league.
03:42 Demario last week challenged the team, obviously, in the locker room about people doing what they're supposed to do.
03:49 Do you feel like going into this game that people took that, that your teammates took that challenge?
03:55 Yeah, yeah.
03:56 I mean, you know, everybody's trying their best to be their best.
04:02 You know, it doesn't always unfold like that.
04:05 But, you know, we got a lot of football ahead of us.
04:09 And so, you know, the biggest thing is, you know, for us to kind of stay together, you know, stay tight.
04:15 You know, keep building each other up.
04:17 And so because I think when we do click for us, I think we could be a really good football team.
04:22 So, you know, I think everybody outside of building point fingers and try to, you know, tear us apart.
04:30 But, you know, as long as we can stay together, I think we'll be all right.
04:34 You know, I find it pretty easy to be in that worst group.
04:36 Can you all feel that recovery after a tough loss like this as a group?
04:41 Yeah, I mean, you know, you never want to lose this many games early on.
04:47 You know, I think it's a reality check, you know, for all of us.
04:51 You know, it's very humbling.
04:53 But like I said, you know, being able to kind of have a couple of days off, you know, go back to the field, you know, correct yourself.
05:03 And then come back to work next week, you know, trying to get a win.
