00:00 >> Disappointing so far, offensively in particular.
00:04 Derek Carr brought in as a big free agent signing and I think you hope that you saw
00:09 a lot of the elements that we saw in the fourth quarter of the game more
00:12 consistently.
00:13 Red zone has been a struggle and
00:15 they just seem like they're not on the same page yet.
00:17 I talked to Derek Carr a little bit in the locker room.
00:19 He still shows confidence that we're gonna figure this out.
00:21 We're gonna get this thing out.
00:22 But right now three and four in a very winnable division.
00:25 I think you probably look at the first half before the buy and
00:29 say you're disappointed.
00:30 And so defense has been pretty good.
00:32 They showed some fight today after going down early.
00:34 But I think there's definitely a lot to be corrected and
00:37 it starts with the communication with the offense.
00:40 >> Do you think the Saints can turn this around?
00:42 >> I think they can. >> Or is it just something that's mental?
00:44 >> So they have the talent.
00:45 I watched them on the field and you see Chris Alave and you see Michael Thomas and
00:49 you see Alvin Kamara, you see Derek Carr.
00:51 The talent is there.
00:53 They have to figure out and make a gel.
00:55 I think the offense can be a little bit more creative.
00:57 They don't run a lot of play action or motion.
01:00 That's something I think they can definitely do more of.
01:01 And I definitely like to put some onus on Derek Carr.
01:04 He's gotta play better, point blank period.
01:06 And so I think if you look in the mirror, play Carmichael and Derek Carr and
01:12 try to figure out how we come out of this better.
01:14 And even guys like Chris Alave, there's routes where he's gotta finish routes.
01:17 He's gotta go through even through some frustration.
01:19 So I think that this period of time for all those parties to look themselves in
01:24 the mirror and say, what is my role in the struggles and
01:27 what can I do to help us get out of it?
01:28 So I don't think it's over for the Saints.
01:30 I think this division is very winnable.
01:32 And if they turn it around the second half,
01:34 it wouldn't shock me to see them be division champs at the end of it.
