00:11 - The Pawn Stars are doing America again,
00:13 and it's twice as big.
00:15 - We're back. - We're back.
00:16 - We're doing Dallas. - Tampa.
00:17 - Louisville. - Minneapolis.
00:19 - Boston. - St. Petersburg.
00:20 - It's definitely an authentic Shaq suit.
00:22 Now here's the super big part.
00:24 How much you want for it?
00:24 - Only about 10 or 12 million to exist.
00:26 - What are you trying to get out of it?
00:27 - 300,000. - Wow.
00:28 - You just put it on backwards.
00:29 - That's because my style's different.
00:30 - For the entire collection,
00:32 I'm looking for about $1.4 million.
00:34 - I nailed it.
00:35 - Pawn Stars do America.
00:36 New season, Wednesday, October 25th,
00:38 only on The History Channel.
00:40 - I always love to play on words
00:41 like Pawn Stars do America, pornography.
00:44 There's all that kind of stuff.
00:46 I mean, there's some great inside jokes.
00:48 I mean, you guys sort of get it.
00:49 You always have.
00:50 Can you talk about sort of balancing
00:52 sort of your expertise with the humor and finding that?
00:56 - I mean, well, I joke around all the time here
00:59 'cause, you know, Pawn Stars was the highest rated premiere
01:02 in the history of,
01:04 sorry, okay.
01:05 Pawn Stars was the highest rated premiere
01:06 in the history of The History Channel.
01:08 And to this day, I mean, this was 2019 and I,
01:12 no, no, it was in 2009.
01:15 And I always say that like the reason why the premiere was,
01:18 you know, had so many viewers
01:19 is 'cause they were going through their cable guide
01:21 and they thought it said something besides Pawn Stars.
01:23 (laughing)
01:26 You know, like the game show was pornography.
01:29 We just can't stop it.
01:30 You know, it's just, you know,
01:32 we just can't stop it, you know what I mean?
01:33 But it's still fun.
01:35 - But the fact that the premiere episode,
01:38 Pawn Stars does Dallas.
01:39 - Yes.
01:42 - You know, I just love that.
01:43 That's just sort of, it's just the alliteration of all that.
01:46 - These are the tools that built America.
01:49 - Oh my God.
01:50 - Is this what heaven looks like?
01:53 - Over the years, we discovered some amazing stuff
01:55 outside the shop.
01:56 - So the price is?
01:58 - 27,000.
01:59 - Arr.
02:00 What else we got?
02:01 (laughing)
02:02 - So we're hitting the road again.
02:04 - Well, it was once owned by Steve McQueen.
02:06 - The only other known examples, they're all in museums.
02:09 - It's one of a kind and I've never seen anything like it.
02:13 - Each week, we'll go someplace different.
02:15 - Look what the cat drug in.
02:17 - Not made for a guy my size.
02:20 - And hold a public event over the course of three days.
02:23 - You know, it shows that every single section
02:25 of the country is its own beast.
02:28 I mean, Vegas is its own beast,
02:29 but you did West Coast more last season.
02:32 Sounds like you're going more
02:33 through the East Coast this season, partially.
02:35 Can you talk about that and how that changes
02:37 how you have to look at people, approach people,
02:39 do all these different things?
02:42 - I mean, no, I mean, it's just like,
02:43 well, different regions got more stuff.
02:45 I mean, like, I mean, there was so much car stuff
02:47 brought to the show in Detroit and Ann Arbor.
02:50 It was like, seemed like it was like 80%
02:53 of what I was saying was just car stuff.
02:55 You know, we go down to, you know, Kentucky
02:58 and it's all horses and bourbon.
02:59 (laughing)
03:01 But no, it really has been fun.
03:04 I really, really enjoy doing it.
03:06 It's a lot of work, 'cause it's like three weeks
03:08 on the road, two weeks home.
03:09 And we've been doing it for like eight months, but no,
03:12 I mean, every part of the country
03:13 is its own little microcosm.
03:15 You have some weird stuff that shows up
03:16 that shouldn't be there, but like,
03:18 I had an absolute fun.
03:20 And I also, you know, I get to do a lot of history
03:23 about every city I'm in, so I'm having a good time with it.
03:26 - Oh my God, Power Nine, oh wow.
03:30 - We want to meet lots of sellers.
03:31 - So how much do you look to get out of it?
03:32 - $490,000.
03:34 - $1.4 million.
03:35 - 10 million bucks.
03:36 (laughing)
03:38 - And lots of fans.
03:39 - Welcome to Far North Channel E!
03:41 - And with the help of our favorite experts.
03:43 - The paper looks right.
03:45 Those can go for tens of thousands of dollars.
03:47 - We're going to look for those cool treasures.
03:49 - My God, this one's real.
03:50 - That just might not make it to Vegas.
03:51 - Well, I mean, because, you know,
03:53 having you, you've always been a voracious reader,
03:55 but can you sort of talk about like looking,
03:58 when you go into a microcosm
03:59 of each of these different cities,
04:01 is it about sort of prepping before you go?
04:03 Obviously you have an idea of what might be coming in.
04:06 There's some advanced, a little bit advanced word on that,
04:08 but can you talk about approaching it
04:10 versus something like when you guys were in Vegas?
04:13 - Like, I didn't even know what cities were doing.
04:17 They just like plopped it down in front of me
04:18 and I'm going like, "Well, let's go."
04:20 But each city, I try and read up a little bit on them,
04:23 but, you know, I'm a guy with a lot of different businesses,
04:27 six kids, four grandkids,
04:29 and everything else going on in the world.
04:32 So, you know, I just feel like, just tell me where to go,
04:35 I'll figure it out, we'll have a fun time.
04:38 - So how do you, you know,
04:39 'cause you're dealing with so many things,
04:41 how do you multifunction in that?
04:42 How do you, how does Rick Harrison's mind work on most days?
04:47 - I'm kind of spastic, you know what I mean?
04:52 I can't sit still.
04:53 And like I said, I read a lot
04:57 and I have a lot of really good people
04:59 that's just like, when I go like, "What do I do now?"
05:01 They just point me in the right direction
05:02 and go like, "Go there."
05:04 - '68 Riviera GS.
05:08 - Oh, yes.
05:09 1968 Buick Riviera GS.
05:13 That means it had the Buick 430 in it.
05:15 It was just a great year.
05:17 A bunch of little things that are in cars today
05:19 that were originally on this car,
05:21 I mean, like the hidden windshield wipers.
05:22 Another super cool thing about this car is,
05:25 so you don't see no headlights, they flip up.
05:28 Super cool car.
05:30 So where did you get, I mean, did you do all the work on it?
05:33 - I bought it from the original estate.
05:35 I did a lot of work to it.
05:36 All the trim, the headlights, AC.
05:39 - You brought it back all factory,
05:40 there's no, yeah, nothing aftermarket.
05:42 - Everything in the interior you see is all original.
05:45 It's even got the eight track tape player in it
05:46 that was installed.
05:47 - If you can find an eight track.
05:49 - I got plenty.
05:50 - I mean, it's evolved, of course,
05:53 with your father, your father was awesome, we miss him.
05:56 But also, because with Big Hoss and with Chumlee,
05:59 I mean, their personalities have evolved over the years
06:01 as has yours.
06:03 Can you talk sort of about the reaction?
06:05 Because people, they know you now,
06:07 but do they really know you?
06:09 - It's odd because a lot of times,
06:13 like people, I'll be walking someone like,
06:14 "Rick, Rick," and I'm going like,
06:16 "Is it a fan or do they actually know me?"
06:18 And it is, I mean, the fame thing is kind of crazy.
06:23 I mean, like I've been, I mean, like,
06:25 I've been to Kuala Lumpur, they know where I'm at.
06:27 I mean, I've been in India, everyone knows who I am.
06:30 I've just, it's, you know, Japan,
06:34 all over Asia, all over Europe.
06:37 That's kind of weird, that's, but I deal with it, it's fun.
06:41 - All right, so give me an idea
06:44 of what you're looking to get for it.
06:46 - I'm asking $39,500.
06:47 - $39,500, okay, well, do you mind
06:50 if me and him take it for a ride?
06:51 - Absolutely, the key's in it.
06:53 - All right. - All right,
06:54 well, you can drive it.
06:55 - Okay. - Here you go.
06:56 - Bucket seats.
06:57 - There you go.
06:58 (laughing)
07:00 - Oh, look at this.
07:01 Like it, no headrest, so you can wear a cowboy hat.
07:06 - I do.
07:07 - You know, the thing is you can still haggle,
07:13 you can still do that.
07:13 I love like in the Dallas one,
07:15 you give up a little bit, you know, with Emmitt Smith,
07:17 you know, the fact that you can pull in certain people
07:19 that now you know, you know, it's sort of cool.
07:21 I mean, do you get starstruck at all anymore?
07:24 I mean, is it, or is it just sort of that
07:26 sort of yin-yang thing?
07:27 - No, I mean, not really star,
07:29 I never really got starstruck that often,
07:30 but like I've lived in Vegas my whole life.
07:32 I mean, you know, you would, in Vegas,
07:36 you go out to dinner, I mean, like,
07:37 especially back in the day,
07:38 and there'd be celebrities and just, you know,
07:39 any restaurant on the strip, so you sort of,
07:41 I sort of grew up being used to being around celebrities.
07:44 - So what you guys have here.
07:46 So the seat back, I mean,
07:47 it's got the Prova sticker on the front.
07:50 So I know that's legit, I know that's your signature.
07:53 And I'm 99% sure this is your signature right here,
07:56 but like, there's no paperwork with your signature,
07:59 no sticker, nothing.
08:01 - Well, this picture is one of my fondest memories
08:04 of the NFC Championship game,
08:06 the very first one, '92, '93 season.
08:09 We playing the 49ers out there in Camden State Park.
08:12 And we win this game to go to our very first Super Bowl
08:15 and go on to beat the Bills.
08:17 So that is a special picture.
08:19 Now, my signature has evolved over the years,
08:24 and this is what I ended up coming up with.
08:26 You got the Emmett and the Jay and the Smith there,
08:30 and then you have the double deuces.
08:31 Now, this is supposed to be a little star in the middle,
08:33 and every now and then that star is not quite there,
08:35 but it's there.
08:37 And so when I look at the signature,
08:38 the signature looks fine to me,
08:40 like a legit Emmett Smith signature.
08:43 - Yeah, and the last question I'll ask you
08:45 has to do with all these different,
08:46 like as you find so many different things,
08:48 I mean, there's the throwback to Steve McQueen
08:50 in this first episode, which is awesome in Dallas,
08:52 but so many different things from Elvis
08:56 to all this kind of stuff,
08:57 has the whole idea of what is valuable,
09:00 has that evolved in terms of pop culture?
09:03 - Oh yeah, it is, because what's hot one day,
09:07 today, five years from now, it might not be hot.
09:09 I mean, like 10 years ago, I mean, like a Fender Nocaster,
09:13 I could get 40 or $50,000 for it.
09:15 Right now they go for like $20,000.
09:16 I mean, people seem to think that like all collectibles
09:20 always go up in value.
09:21 Some go up in value, you know,
09:24 I mean, they're commodities, they go up in value.
09:25 I mean, like, you know, like a lot of things,
09:28 like the Elvis things,
09:29 like Elvis ain't as cool as he used to be.
09:31 And you know, the price reflects that.
09:33 - Is there anything that's sort of trending up
09:34 that you're sort of surprised by?
09:37 - Pokemon cards.
09:40 (laughing)
09:42 I mean, like the trading cards, game trading,
09:48 I don't know hardly anything about it.
09:49 Believe it or not, Chum knows everything
09:51 there is to know about all these card games.
09:54 And the price has gone kind of ballistic
09:57 over the past few years.
09:58 I mean, and it's still really, really hot.
