00:19 up in Sunderland so I had the pleasure of coaching against him at
00:25 international level. Look he's just an outstanding manager he's an
00:30 absolute gentleman whenever I have come across him and people you know we talk
00:36 about Roy always talk about you know the kind of person he is and you know I love
00:41 his career for somebody like me who's had a different journey I look at somebody
00:46 like Roy and I've got so much admiration for the career he's had because I guess
00:51 for all of us it's you know we start off in this kind of decision to become a
00:58 manager and you kind of talk about well what's the main thing you want is that
01:03 you hopefully do it for a very long time because we love it but we know that the
01:08 job has a precarious nature to it. You kind of hang on to the fact that
01:14 hopefully you have some success that prolongs your career but beyond that
01:17 it's what I love about what I do is the experiences you gain along the way and
01:21 I look at Roy and I just think he's had the richest of careers you know he's
01:25 coached here, he's coached abroad, he's coached big clubs, smaller clubs, he's fought
01:31 for honours, he's fought against relegation, he's coached different
01:34 countries you know whenever he does decide to quit and that probably isn't
01:38 going to be for a while the way he's going you know he can look back and he's
01:42 got such a rich career that I think means more than just having success you
01:49 know or you know earning a lot of money or fame I just think the experiences he
01:54 you know probably speaks five or six languages he can go to multiple
01:58 countries multiple clubs and be welcomed with open arms just massive admiration
02:03 and a career you know hopefully when I get the end of it can have sort of a
02:09 fraction of the experiences he's had.
02:13 Just on Roy, he's 76 so I just wondered will you still be going up to that age as a manager?
02:22 Who knows that's not the plan 76 somewhere on a Greek island lying back
02:33 watching football from around the world maybe you know doing some punditry and
02:39 becoming an expert overnight so that's the plan but you never know in life mate.
