00:18 Hello Ros Fenere, this is AC Milan talk.
00:20 We are ready for a new weekly episode focusing on the going song of our favourite team both on and off the pitch.
00:27 Welcome to Adriano Del Monte. Hi Adriano.
00:30 Hello Licia, nice to see you as always.
00:32 And welcome also to Sheridan World. Hi Sheridan.
00:34 Hi Licia, hi Adriano, great to be here.
00:36 I think we have a lot to talk about, so let's start with our men's first team.
00:41 [Music]
00:48 A new European night, it's a difficult one to take and we have to say that nothing is already done.
00:57 It's all to play for, but now we have to think that anything is possible, Adriano.
01:04 Anything is possible, I like the way that you start that there Licia.
01:07 I was there, pitched out at the Parc des Princes, a wonderful stadium in European football against obviously a top club in Paris Saint-Germain.
01:15 Of course, the result didn't go our way, but, and I want to start on this note, as you can see from the standings there,
01:22 PSG lead with six points, Milan two.
01:25 But Borussia Dortmund's win at Newcastle Sheridan for me was very important in terms of qualification for Milan here.
01:33 Now, two points of course, no goals this point, no wins, but there have been so many positives I feel to take from the opening three matchdays.
01:42 Obviously, that result at Paris, not the ideal outcome, but for me, the start of the match, 20-25 minutes in,
01:49 there was a lot of competitiveness, there were some opportunities, so I do take some positives away,
01:55 but overall, as the group stands at the halfway mark, still alive.
01:59 Yeah, it's only 50% of the group through three matches and there's plenty of time to go.
02:07 When Kylian Mbappe is in that kind of mood, I don't think anyone can stop him, let's be honest.
02:12 And there were chances, as you said, Adriano.
02:15 This is a good chance for Giroud, or a difficult chance for Giroud, made by Pulisic.
02:21 Of course, it was Mike Mignon's excellent pass.
02:24 This is the second goal, the marking not great on Colo Munayi there, but it wasn't a great defensive performance from Milan
02:34 and it just happened to be a night in which the Parisians clicked and everything went well for them.
02:40 There were some good moments, there's another great save by Mike Mignon, we have to give credit to Magic Mike for that,
02:46 because the scoreline could have been vastly different and this is the final goal which really put it to bed.
02:53 But we can't hide from the result, we can't hide from the table, but there are some things to be positive about.
03:00 There was one particular substitution I know impressed both of us, that Mr Pjoli made.
03:05 Absolutely, Adeli has been a player that we've been keeping a close eye on.
03:10 Obviously, probably the first season and last season didn't go the way he would have hoped,
03:14 but there have been a lot of positive signs. We know there are still some players to come back into the squad as well.
03:20 And we saw in the highlights there was that chance, the link-up between Pulisic and Giroud didn't go in,
03:26 but they're those half chances which at a club like Paris Saint-Germain, you do need to take those chances.
03:32 And if that becomes 1-1, all of a sudden it's game on again.
03:35 But we look ahead now of course, because matchday 4, look I can't wait for this one.
03:40 Already this is what Champions League football is all about, but PSG, I spoke to a lot of fans there last night,
03:45 they are so excited about their trip to San Siro and to just immerse themselves in the atmosphere that stadium provides.
03:53 But matchday 4, this is huge, this is absolutely huge and look, the points are needed.
03:58 A result is certainly needed here, Dortmund and Newcastle will get to that matchday 5 and 6,
04:03 but certainly an improved performance is required on matchday 4.
04:06 Of course. But to continue our analysis of what happened in the night against Paris Saint-Germain,
04:13 I would like to focus on Pioli's thoughts in his post-match.
04:18 So let's listen to his interview after the game against Paris Saint-Germain.
04:21 I think it's quite easy to analyse the match.
04:28 Until the 53rd minute, when we conceded the second goal, we played the match in all the ways we wanted to play it.
04:37 With energy, with pressure, with intensity.
04:40 We made a mistake and they punished us for the quality of a great champion,
04:48 with the only goal they scored in the first half.
04:51 The fact that we couldn't score, the fact that we couldn't get a goal,
04:56 we had an opportunity at the beginning of the second half that could have brought us back to parity,
05:01 so give us even more confidence, even more conviction.
05:04 On the other hand, we suffered it, and then it became much more difficult.
05:08 But we had an immediate defeat, but then we got back on track.
05:13 Clearly, leaving ample space for the opponents, so fast, so qualitative,
05:18 then we went a little more difficult.
05:21 We had to be aware that if we play in a certain way and add a little bit of technical quality,
05:29 we can also be at the level of a very large team like PSG.
05:33 And we were.
05:34 Before, I was asked if the match against Chelsea was the same as a few years ago.
05:38 With Chelsea, we had not proven to be a team of that level.
05:41 Chelsea had put us under everything and everywhere.
05:43 Today, it was a game where the two teams tried to stop the opponent with the same attitudes,
05:47 with the same energy, with the same pressure, with the same intensity.
05:50 They had a superior technical quality in the situations where they punished us later.
05:56 We had other situations where we could, with the final pass, with the shot,
06:01 with the last situation, create a better chance to score, but we didn't succeed.
06:06 This is the difference between us and them.
06:08 We absolutely need to believe in ourselves.
06:11 It was the result I honestly hoped for, that Newcastle didn't win.
06:14 But of course, now we can't hope for the others, but we have to do something more,
06:18 do better and beat PSG at home.
06:21 Stefano Pioli with this one reached 200 matches in Rosso Nero with AC Milan.
06:27 Unfortunately, he couldn't celebrate this in the best way.
06:33 Any comments about his words?
06:35 I think we all agree with what he said, that Milan made chances and competed with PSG,
06:43 but then there was a mistake.
06:45 And mistakes at the top level, you will always get punished for.
06:48 That's one of the great and painful things about the Champions League.
06:52 If you do make any error, someone is there to snap it up and make you cry.
06:56 It just happened.
06:57 It's worth mentioning, Mr Pioli didn't say it because he doesn't like to make excuses,
07:02 but without Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the midfielder loses a great presence.
07:06 Someone with lots of experience and physically a very imposing midfielder.
07:10 So there were some mitigating circumstances.
07:13 Absolutely. And of course, congratulations to Mr Pioli for 200 games.
07:17 That's a remarkable achievement at this club.
07:20 But as for his words, you can see the numbers there.
07:24 I think for me, it shows that there is room for improvement.
07:29 Mr Pioli is aware of that.
07:31 He mentioned that 53 minutes that he labelled that Milan were in it.
07:35 Obviously, the Mbappe goal midway through the first half was the difference there
07:39 with that shot on target.
07:40 But in the end, it means there is still that room to improve.
07:43 And the return of Loftus-Cheek, which hopefully sooner rather than later, will certainly help that.
07:47 But obviously, with a quick turnaround now, obviously setting out the weekend,
07:50 and then Pierre Chieh to come to this city in a fortnight.
07:54 The pressure is on because he is right.
07:56 The proof was there.
07:57 They can match Paris Saint-Germain.
07:59 They proved that.
08:00 But again, it's the frustration I think overall of the first three matchdays,
08:03 just not converting those chances into the attacking third,
08:07 is why currently two points in the bottom of the table.
08:10 But as I said, still alive, all to play for in the Champions League.
08:13 What do you think is the main thought with our Rossoneri get back home?
08:19 Looking also to the next feature, European fixtures again against Paris Saint-Germain, but in San Siro.
08:26 I think what Mr Pioli and his squad need to do is remember that PSG,
08:31 they fell apart at St James' Park against Newcastle.
08:35 And that's an intimidating stadium.
08:37 I've been to St James' Park.
08:38 San Siro is another level without wanting to upset Newcastle fans.
08:43 But San Siro on a big European night is an intimidating place.
08:48 PSG is full of professionals, seasoned stars who have won big trophies.
08:52 But if the fans can do what they always do and get behind Milan
08:56 and make it an intimidating atmosphere, and if Milan can score early,
09:02 need to score in the Champions League.
09:03 Again, we can't hide the fact they haven't scored this season in the Champions League.
09:06 If someone can find the net and then make things nerve-wracking for the Parisians,
09:11 it could be a night to remember. That's what we hope for.
09:13 Absolutely. I think that is a very valid point.
09:16 Newcastle, with respect, beat Paris Saint-Germain convincingly.
09:20 It was their first Champions League match at home for, what, two decades?
09:23 Yeah.
09:24 The fans were ready. The fans played their part.
09:26 From other broadcasters I heard that were present to that match,
09:29 they said the atmosphere was unlike anything they'd heard before.
09:32 Maybe it wasn't up to rattle Paris Saint-Germain, despite the quality.
09:36 I think it is a real message to the fans, those that are attending this match.
09:40 This has to be a cauldron. They have to be the 12th man,
09:44 they have to be that 12th player.
09:45 If they can play their part, Milan can hopefully score early in the game.
09:48 That can ultimately be the difference.
09:50 Of course, Dortmund this time host Newcastle.
09:52 Obviously, there'll be another result there which will change the group in its entirety.
09:57 But in the end, I think, look, Mr Pjoli and this Milan team,
10:00 with the support of the fans, the target has to be three points.
10:03 Well, after the 90 minutes on the pitch,
10:07 Milan TV cameras captured also the post-match reactions from Pier Calullo.
10:12 So, let's listen to his thoughts together.
10:14 Yes, it's true that in these types of games,
10:21 there are always episodes that make the difference.
10:24 In the games, it's always the dynamics.
10:27 It's true that you score this goal, it changes everything.
10:30 But then, you never know, it's not a success.
10:33 Then we paid attention to our mistakes.
10:39 It's also true that they were a very strong team
10:44 and they tried and succeeded the most in their chances.
10:54 We have to believe it because in the last few years in the Champions League,
11:00 we know that if you play three games, you have nine points for everyone.
11:06 If you have nine more points, it changes everything.
11:11 Of course, we have to win the last games,
11:17 even at home, which are different games.
11:23 Any comments?
11:25 I do have comments. I'm a big numbers man.
11:28 I like my numbers and I've talked about the permutations already.
11:31 I'm not looking too far ahead. I think the Paris Saint-Germain match needs to be won.
11:34 But as Calullo says, there are still nine points up for grabs.
11:39 You do the maths, Sheridan. Nine plus two will take you to 11 points.
11:42 Very likely, it will be enough to get through.
11:44 But one other interesting element of the group is the two 0-0 draws
11:49 on matchday one and two against Newcastle and Dortmund.
11:51 Let's not forget, it comes down to head-to-head.
11:53 Towards the latter stages of the group, if teams are level on points,
11:58 the head-to-head battle will be the difference.
12:00 Those two scoreless draws are not a bad outcome.
12:03 Go there, host Dortmund, go to Newcastle, get the win.
12:07 That's an extra point on top of that.
12:09 I still have a lot of belief in this group.
12:11 I've covered all of the matches so far, pitch-side.
12:13 I've seen the club up close. I've seen the plays.
12:16 The hunger is there. The desire is there.
12:18 When that first goal comes, I think that maybe the pressure
12:21 will be released a little more.
12:23 They do have the belief that they can continue
12:25 and hopefully do what they did last season.
12:27 I confirm that when it comes to maths, numbers aren't my thing.
12:31 It's a good job I've got Adriano next to me because with numbers,
12:34 I struggle. But I know that three times three is nine, as you say.
12:38 So Milan can still get 11 points.
12:41 The point is, I think there's certainly been enough in the first three matchdays
12:45 to suggest that if and when those goals do come,
12:48 hopefully sooner rather than later, that they have matched all three teams.
12:52 Even Paris Saint-Germain, the 3-0, OK, it's a 3-0.
12:55 But again, very, very easy.
12:57 Could have been a very different scoreline.
12:59 But you've got to take those chances.
13:01 So I think the quality has been there.
13:03 Let's hope the finishing is there come matchday four.
13:05 After the Champions League fixture, it's time to get back to Syria
13:09 after a not easy night on Sunday.
13:13 A very tough match, a big match in every sense against Juventus.
13:18 Tough. Obviously, the result also didn't go our way, Sharon.
13:22 It's been a tough few days, but again, it was a tough match.
13:25 Playing in 10 for what was it, over a half,
13:29 against a team who, well, again, I was there at this one.
13:33 Juventus, with respect, weren't really threatening the goal
13:38 for large parts of the match.
13:40 But when you chose a solitary goal in the end by Manuel Locatelli,
13:44 that was the difference. Milan remain in second place.
13:47 Obviously a disappointing result, but very, very tough
13:50 when in 10 for large parts of the match, Sharon.
13:52 Yeah, I mean, I think the damage was done last week
13:55 when you chose a Locatelli goal against Juventus.
13:58 And it was destiny that he would score against the Rossoneri.
14:01 Of course not.
14:02 Seven years to the day it was.
14:03 Of course not. I'm joking.
14:04 And it was just one of those matches in which the red card
14:07 for Malik Chao was unfortunate. It's a learning process.
14:11 People forget, we don't, but people forget Malik Chao
14:14 is very young and he's not been playing at this top level
14:17 for very long. And just like against PSG,
14:20 Milan had chances against Juventus.
14:23 I believe this is the red card coming up.
14:25 And unfortunately, there was no choice for the referee.
14:29 Mozehkin, or Moze Ken, as we say sometimes here in Italy,
14:33 just had too much speed.
14:35 And Tomoi was trying to say that it wasn't the goal scoring
14:38 opportunity I could have covered, but the referee didn't have it.
14:41 And this is Locatelli's deflected goal.
14:43 Luck not smiling upon Milan for that goal.
14:47 And it's been a difficult week.
14:50 There's no way of denying it. It wasn't a great result.
14:53 Missing Theo, of course, and Mike Mignon.
14:57 It just was one to try and forget and move on.
15:01 Disappointing outcome, but the beauty of football
15:04 and the beauty of the period that we're currently in.
15:06 A few days and a massive opportunity to turn things around
15:10 and get back on the winner's list against another famous opponent.
15:14 So look, the football doesn't stop. The result was disappointing.
15:17 But again, we saw early in the package there,
15:20 the Giroud chance, great save by Szczesny.
15:23 That goes the other side. All of a sudden, it's a different game.
15:26 So look, it's a period that takes me back
15:29 maybe to the start of the calendar year, Sheridan,
15:31 where the results weren't necessarily going the way of the team.
15:34 Of course, this was last season.
15:37 And they came out of it much better for it in a very interesting period
15:40 where there was knockout stages of the Champions League,
15:43 some big set-up fixtures and more.
15:45 So look, you have these moments, you have the ups, you have the downs in football.
15:48 I know I'm always quite positive and quite optimistic,
15:51 but because the signs are there.
15:53 The finishing comes, we'll see the results and the points start to total very, very quickly.
15:59 And of course, this weekend, this is huge.
16:01 Away to Napoli, Sunday.
16:03 This is a big match and an opponent that, of course,
16:06 Milan have played on many occasions, last season particularly.
16:09 So we have to consider that we are in the middle of a very busy week
16:13 on Sunday night against Napoli.
16:15 What we should expect from the match against Rudi Garcia's side?
16:20 It's a challenging week, but it's a good chance to get back on winning ways.
16:24 Napoli themselves had a difficult spell,
16:26 but they seem to have got back on an even keel.
16:30 They won in Europe, in Berlin, so they'll be a tough opponent.
16:34 They've got one or two players missing, so they might not be at full strength.
16:37 But Mr. Pioli just needs to get his troops ready for what will be a battle,
16:42 what will be a tough match.
16:44 But it's a great launching pad.
16:46 I mean, if it were a game that were perhaps less glamorous,
16:49 there might be not trouble motivating,
16:51 but it might seem like less of an opportunity to restart.
16:55 But playing away to the champions of Italy,
16:57 it's a really good chance to show that Milan are back.
17:00 And what happened against Juventus and what happened in the Champions League
17:04 was just a slip.
17:05 I agree. I like the fact of playing a tough opponent at a time like this.
17:09 It provides an opportunity to go in fully motivated,
17:12 in a tough atmosphere, in a great stadium.
17:15 So, good opportunity. Of course, Ossiman not fit for Napoli.
17:19 And the two teams got to know each other very well last season, Liceo.
17:23 Of course, there was that period of 10 days where there were three fixtures,
17:26 the quarterfinals of the Champions League and the Serie A meeting.
17:29 And it was this fixture last season.
17:31 Remember what happened.
17:32 It was a 4-0 win, one of the performances of the season.
17:36 So, look, I think the players and Mr. Pioli will take great confidence
17:40 because this particular performance was as good as we saw
17:44 for the entirety of last season.
17:46 Again, another match I was very fortunate to be at.
17:48 And Rafael Leal with an absolute masterclass.
17:51 I think he finished with two on the night.
17:53 And it was incredible.
17:55 This period, playing one team three times in those couple of weeks,
17:58 it was special.
18:00 Well, it was a Leal masterclass, as I said.
18:02 Of course, Brian Diaz there as well, who no longer.
18:05 But, look, it was a great performance.
18:06 And I think the core of this group will take confidence going down south.
18:10 Yeah, there were some great goals in that match.
18:12 And it was a really good scalp to take.
18:15 And I don't think Mr. Pioli and his team will fear going down to the San Paolo
18:20 or the Diego Armando Maradona after the exploits of last season.
18:25 I mean, yeah, there was a great cross from Benacer,
18:28 who will be back soon, hopefully.
18:30 That's a really good goal that really made mincemeat of the Napoli rearguard.
18:35 So, you know, I think Milan have got everything they need mentally.
18:40 And they've also got the hunger to bounce back from a disappointing week
18:44 to make something happen in the Bay of Naples.
18:47 And Napoli, their form, you mentioned, has been indifferent.
18:50 They have started to strengthen.
18:52 You do sense that Napoli are starting to rediscover some of their form
18:56 that we saw last season.
18:57 But their form at the Maradona hasn't quite been what you would have expected.
19:02 In fact, this win here for Milan was one of only two wins
19:06 for opposing teams at the Maradona.
19:08 What a goal there by Liao.
19:10 This really was one of the performances of the season.
19:12 But again, it was a rare occasion that Napoli were defeated on their home turf.
19:18 Now, this season, already three defeats at the Maradona.
19:22 So their confidence at home, obviously, that's the Champions League and Serie A.
19:26 Maybe we'll do that.
19:27 Show them if they can win this weekend, we'll pull out that celebration.
19:31 But look, it's a Milan team that deserve to go there full of confidence
19:34 off the back of this stunning performance.
19:36 And we did promise four great goals, and all four there, Licia,
19:39 very, very good indeed.
19:41 Are you going to travel to Naples, Sheridan?
19:44 I won't. I'll be working because there are other teams in the Milan family,
19:48 which we'll be speaking about very soon, clearly, are playing.
19:52 So I'll be covering the Rossoneri, other teams in the Rossoneri group.
19:56 But it will be a fascinating fixture, and hopefully Milan can show what they're made of.
20:03 So that's all for our Men's First Team.
20:06 Piale Stade are preparing very well the match on Sunday for the next Serie A weekend.
20:12 Now, let's move on with our Women's Team.
20:15 Gansu's team, Gansu's side, just experienced maybe the biggest win of this season so far
20:29 against Pomigliano. What a great result.
20:32 Yes, it was. It was a match which did embody some of the struggles the team have had.
20:39 However, it was decided by some magic dust by Milan's resident sorceress, resident magician,
20:48 Kosovare Aslani, who was back in the team after a phase out of the starting XI,
20:54 and she showed her quality.
20:57 I'm sure, I hope you guys are looking forward to seeing what she did
21:00 because it was really impressive and it just showed Milan what they've missed a bit
21:04 while she hasn't been available.
21:06 Because many years ago they used to say that Kaká played in a smoking,
21:11 which is Italian for dinner jacket or tuxedo, if you prefer.
21:14 Well, Aslani, when she is on form, plays in the same way.
21:18 That's Mr. Gansu celebrating. That's the first goal from Kosovare Aslani.
21:22 A really good glancing header. Watch this. That one was marking her really well.
21:27 It's a fun finish. It's a really good goal. She's not known for her aerial play,
21:30 but now watch the link-up coming up for this goal.
21:34 Kristi Grimshaw and Aslani linking up back to Staskova,
21:39 who scored her first goal for the Rossoneri since joining.
21:43 And it was just a really good move.
21:45 These are clearly the highlights, the goals, but all throughout the match,
21:49 particularly Kosovare Aslani, she just had that extra bit of class that Pomigliano couldn't handle.
21:55 The music was loud. Everyone was happy. The sun was shining.
21:59 And there was a goal for the team from Campania.
22:03 They do sometimes make it a bit complicated for themselves, the Rossoneri.
22:07 The defense, I think, switched off a bit towards the end, which is inevitable.
22:10 It can happen. But I really think the real positive was the first goal by Staskova
22:16 and the all-round link-up play from Aslani.
22:18 You did say it would be a tricky test against Pomigliano,
22:22 but to come through and obviously concede, but then put another two away.
22:26 The attacking play is very important.
22:29 Obviously, there was some change in the offseason for the Milan team here,
22:33 but Staskova, you mentioned getting her first goal since making the move to Milan,
22:37 and Aslani in some good form as well.
22:39 That has to be promising now going into this next stage of the season.
22:42 Yeah, it's fantastic. And there was a kind of curious, fun event coming up now
22:47 because this was a penalty won by Kristi Grimshaw.
22:50 And to decide who took it, whether it would be Aslani for her hat trick or Kristi,
22:55 the players played scissors, paper, stone, which I believe in Italian is "bim-bom-bam".
23:02 I think it's the name of the game. I'm not 100% sure. You didn't see it there.
23:05 But Kristi Grimshaw won, so she got to take the penalty.
23:09 They did that on the pitch.
23:10 They did that on the pitch. Kristi took the penalty. She converted the penalty.
23:13 So it was a good victory, but it perhaps wasn't as easy as it looked.
23:18 But there were plenty of positives. There is Kristi's penalty.
23:21 Keeper went the wrong way, and the Scottish midfield Dynamo did the rest.
23:26 So you can see the joy, the happiness. It was a really good, much-needed positive result for the Milan family.
23:32 Our Rossoneri will face Fiorentina, which is leaving a very good first part of this season.
23:42 I would like to ask you a comment about the possible difficulties or tricks,
23:48 about the match and what we should expect from them.
23:53 Well, it will be tricky because Fiorentina have good quality players.
23:58 They've not quite challenged for trophies fully in recent years, but they've always been there or thereabouts.
24:05 They're third at the moment, as you can see, behind Roma and Juventus.
24:09 But I think Mr Gantz just has to tell his players or ask his players to keep up the good work that was started against Pomigliano.
24:17 Because that could be the beginning of the season.
24:20 We know that they started the first match against Roma, the champions,
24:24 then there was a match against Juventus, which was very tough.
24:27 But now I think the season can be ignited by that victory against Pomigliano.
24:32 And the best place to start that is in Tuscany against Fiorentina.
24:36 Really one of those direct head-to-heads for that top five battle.
24:39 Of course, Cormore is currently in there. There was the 0-0 a couple of weeks ago.
24:43 But Fiorentina are a very good team. Very, very good team. Good depth.
24:47 Former Milan player there, Vero Bocche, the Spanish international, top, top player.
24:51 So they've got experience, they've got class, they've got young players coming through.
24:54 And a good test for Gantz's side after that 4-1 against Pomigliano.
24:58 So good luck to Maurizio Gantz's team. Let's move on to our Under-19s.
25:05 UNDER-19S
25:08 The Primavera's good result run came to an end at 10 matches.
25:18 Something went wrong against Paris Saint-Germain.
25:22 They created a lot, they had many occasions,
25:25 especially in the first part of the two halves where something went wrong.
25:31 It was a very tough match. PSG are a very good team.
25:35 If you had said at the beginning of the season that Milan youth team wouldn't lose their first match until the end of October,
25:44 people would say that's a sign of a great start to the season.
25:48 And that's basically the situation. They've been really good as the season has kicked off.
25:52 But they just met their match against PSG.
25:55 It was an even match in the UEFA Youth League.
25:59 PSG scored a really good goal. When you see it, I think you'll agree that it's a fantastic goal.
26:05 The goalkeeper, Andrea Bartaccioni, no chance.
26:08 Quite an even match, but I just think on the day PSG probably deserved the victory.
26:13 We have to be honest, we have to be fair. Fair play, please.
26:16 I think they deserved it, the French side.
26:18 But it'll be interesting to note what happens when they come to the Puma House of Football.
26:23 There were some good early forays by Milan,
26:26 but the midfield for the French side particularly was impressive.
26:29 They panicked a bit in defence, the Parisians, at the beginning.
26:33 Milan were just unable to put the ball in the back of the net.
26:36 And sometimes you have days like that when the ball just says, "No, I'm not going to go in."
26:40 Kevin Zeroli involved. Kevin played really well.
26:43 More of an attacking midfielder than a central midfielder.
26:47 And at the beginning it did feel quite positive.
26:50 Tough conditions, I can tell you.
26:53 In the day of the game, it was quite heavy rain.
26:57 The senior team played in very solid conditions,
27:00 but the day of the game there was a lot of rain overnight before, so it wouldn't have been easy.
27:05 And Paris Saint-Germain, you mentioned they are good at producing players.
27:09 Even in the first team they have some 17-year-olds playing.
27:12 So this is one of the better academies going around.
27:15 It has to be respected.
27:17 And you see with Dortmund as well, of course, two of the better academies in European football.
27:21 So it just shows where Abate's team have got to.
27:24 They've also got Kylian Mbappe's brother playing.
27:26 This is the goal. I'll just break off.
27:28 And that was a special goal. It was a special goal.
27:31 No chance for Bartacani.
27:33 And big celebrations.
27:35 They also have Kylian Mbappe's brother, Eto'o Mbappe, who played well in midfield.
27:41 Milan made a go of it in the second half when the sun came out.
27:43 It seems like a completely different city.
27:45 It does look like a different day.
27:47 It does, but it was the same stadium.
27:49 Milan had their chances. Mr. Abate made some good substitutions.
27:52 Filippo Scotti came on.
27:54 And they almost equalised right at the end with a flamboyant scissor kick.
27:59 That's Ugo Cuenca, who did very well.
28:01 Kevin Zaroli normally scores those.
28:03 Then the sun went back in, by the way, in case you're wondering.
28:06 And this was a chance right at the end to equalise.
28:08 And I thought it was in when I was commentating on it.
28:11 But he just couldn't quite get a hold of it.
28:13 And it was stopped by the Parisian goalkeeper.
28:16 So it was a good performance.
28:18 It was a loss of the season.
28:20 But chapeau, to use the French phrase, because they were playing in Paris.
28:23 Well played.
28:24 They did well to get to mid-October before losing a match.
28:27 The season still promises to be a fantastic one for Mr. Abate's youngsters.
28:31 This is about the Youth League, but talking about the Primavera Uno,
28:35 after the goalless draw against Roma, it's time to face Sampdoria,
28:39 which awaits us at the Wismar on Sunday.
28:42 It's the same situation as the men's senior team, to be quite honest.
28:47 You have to bounce back.
28:48 You have to archive recent results.
28:50 It didn't go well last weekend in the league.
28:53 It didn't go well in the UEFA Youth League, as we've just seen.
28:57 But Milan are still top.
28:58 Inter, though, are closing in, as you can see.
29:02 But it's just to get back to winning ways.
29:05 PSG were a very good team.
29:07 And there aren't many teams like PSG in the Italian Primavera Championship.
29:11 So I still think Milan have got a very good chance of being the dominant team.
29:15 We hope they'll be the dominant team in the Primavera League in Italy this season.
29:19 Very similar to the men's team.
29:20 And, of course, off the back of the 0-0 with Roma and that 1-0 at PSG.
29:25 But we saw in the highlights there were plenty of chances created.
29:28 And it was the same in this match as well.
29:30 So, look, some solid performances without the results being there.
29:33 But this is now really a test of character.
29:35 Can they step up? Can they respond against a Sampdoria team
29:37 who have started quite well this season with respect to where they're at as well?
29:41 So, look, there's no easy games at this level.
29:43 Some of the top players, or all of the top players in the country,
29:46 doing battle and obviously trying to progress with their respective careers.
29:50 So this is going to be a nice opportunity.
29:52 But expecting the response, because what we've seen from about these young men
29:56 this season has been very impressive to date.
29:58 That's all for today. See you next week, guys.
30:02 So thanks to Adriano Del Monte. Thanks to Sheridan Bird.
30:05 Thank you very much, Lucia Sheridan. Always a lot of fun.
30:08 Thank you very much. I really enjoyed myself. Thank you.
30:10 Dear Rossoneri, thanks for following us.
30:13 See you in the next episode of our AC Milan Talk. Ciao!
