Sheffield retro: Nostalgic photos show Chapeltown in the 1960s and 70s, including pubs and old shops

These photos show how Chapeltown has changed over the years.

00:00 It's one of Sheffield's most desirable suburbs with its good schools, pretty park, thriving market and excellent transport links.

00:09 But, like everywhere in Sheffield, Chapel Town has changed considerably over the years.

00:14 This retro photo gallery shows the neighbourhood as it looked during the 1960s and 70s,

00:20 including the area's popular pubs, the old swimming baths and some of the shops which have been lost.

00:26 An old smallpox isolation hospital, which was still in use back then,

00:31 a large block of flats which has since been demolished,

00:34 and staff at the Eisel factory which made a range of disinfectant products,

00:38 are among the other nostalgic images.
