00:19 Number 10, Butcher vs Gunpowder.
00:23 "All I wanna know is what happened to him,
00:26 and you're gonna tell me."
00:29 "Maybe I put a bullet in your head."
00:31 While trying to get intel that could help them take down Homelander,
00:33 Butcher interrogates the soup known as Gunpowder.
00:36 But after touching a nerve,
00:38 the leader of The Boys finds himself in the literal crosshairs of a powerful enemy.
00:43 The shootout between Butcher and Gunpowder was incredibly tense
00:46 and contained some impressive special effects.
00:49 Fortunately for us, their conflict later leveled up
00:52 when Butcher revealed that he'd been taking a serum that gave him superpowers.

01:01 It was immensely satisfying to see him absolutely demolish Gunpowder with his fists alone.
01:06 Although the heavily armed soup surrendered,
01:09 he died after his foe lost control of his powers.

01:21 This surprising battle let us know that a superpowered Butcher
01:24 was a force to be reckoned with.
01:26 Number 9. Starlight vs Vought Guards and A-Train
01:30 Although Annie is much kinder and more selfless than her peers,
01:34 she's far from a pushover.
01:35 "Now you want me to help your psycho killer friends?"
01:38 "When you put it like that."
01:39 She reminded everyone why she was on The Seven in the season one finale.
01:44 When most of The Boys found themselves at the mercy of Vought's security,
01:47 Starlight saved the day.
01:49 She single-handedly takes down every opponent
01:52 with her strength and light-based abilities.
01:54 After virtually walking through the security,
01:57 the fast A-Train shows up to take her down.
01:59 "Turn around and walk away, A-Train."

02:06 While this section of the battle is admittedly brief,
02:09 the gorgeous moments where the speedster outran light made up for it.
02:12 Their one-on-one is suddenly cut short by A-Train's heart attack.
02:17 Despite not winning outright, Starlight still put on an impressive display.

02:22 "Like you said."
02:28 Number 8. Kimiko vs. Black Noir
02:30 "Hello?"
02:31 "They're coming. They're onto you, babe."
02:33 "Black Noir was outside my apartment."
02:35 Frenchie was rightfully terrified when he learned that he was being hunted
02:39 by the incredibly strong Black Noir.
02:41 Although he wanted to run as far and fast as he could,
02:44 he stopped to free the imprisoned soup Kimiko.
02:47 "It's not who you are either. We're the same, you and I.
02:50 Like eggs, hard outside, soft inside, or pineapples, perhaps."
02:54 Frenchie's decision led to an awesome confrontation.
02:57 Just when Black Noir catches up to him, Kimiko decides to fight on her ally's behalf.
03:02 The soup's trade blows in a fast-paced fight to the death.
03:06 Since neither can talk, we mostly hear the brutal sounds of combat as the battle rages on.
03:11 Black Noir's superior experience and weapons gave him the edge in this close matchup.
03:16 Luckily, Kimiko lived to fight another day in even bigger bouts.

03:25 Number 7. The Animated Payback Team vs. Soldier Boy

03:35 The original Black Noir relied on animated characters to help him relive painful memories
03:40 of how badly Soldier Boy mistreated everyone.
03:42 Those cartoons eventually showed us how the patriotic soup was put on ice.
03:47 While the empowered team known as Payback was on a mission,
03:49 the majority of members turned on Soldier Boy.
03:52 "TNT, detonate!"
03:53 Even though the soups are represented by cute animals, the fight was still quite brutal.
04:01 The contrast between the extreme violence and innocent-looking creatures
04:04 resulted in a brawl that made us both laugh and wince.
04:08 This fight also helped solve the mystery of why Soldier Boy wanted to kill his
04:11 former Payback Team members.
04:13 At the end of this unexpected matchup, they cemented their victory by letting him get put away.
04:19 "This is some tough stuff, I know.
04:21 But when you gave him to the Russians, you knew Soldier Boy would come back one day."
04:26 Number 6. Starlight vs. Black Noir
04:29 After Annie became a problem for Vought, they sent in Black Noir to take her in.
04:33 "Mom, they could be looking for-"
04:38 He's able to overwhelm Starlight with the element of surprise and imprison her.
04:43 When Starlight escaped Vought custody, the silent soup hit her with another stealthy attack.
04:48 But the second time around, she was ready to fight back.
05:00 Their one-on-one starts off with the combatants trading serious hits.
05:04 Unfortunately for Starlight, Black Noir quickly started dominating the battle
05:08 with precise martial arts moves and his overwhelming strength.
05:12 Starlight only survived after Maeve exploited Black Noir's nut allergy.
05:15 While the ending definitely took an absurd turn,
05:23 this skirmish between Seven members is still worth revisiting.
05:27 Number 5. Kenji and Kimiko vs. Stormfront
05:31 A pair of super-powered siblings managed to become two of the Seven's biggest targets.
05:35 After narrowly escaping Homelander, Kimiko and Kenji found themselves facing Stormfront.
05:46 The electrifying villain used her tremendous powers to toss the siblings around like ragdolls.
05:51 And along the way, Stormfront caused a ton of collateral damage.
05:55 Throughout this gigantic battle, Kenji and Kimiko constantly pushed themselves
05:59 to their limits in order to just stay alive.
06:01 But Stormfront does not stop until her thirst for blood gets fulfilled.
06:12 Between its destructive nature and tragic conclusion,
06:15 this brawl stood out as one of the show's most brutal action scenes.
06:18 Number 4. Butcher vs. Translucent
06:29 "Translucent doesn't even mean invisible. That means semi-transparent."
06:34 Before the leader of the boys ever experimented with superpowers,
06:38 he took on enhanced foes with nothing more than his wits and pure grit.
06:42 His best bout as himself occurred during the premiere.
06:45 When Translucent tried to kill Huey, Butcher brought the fight to the semi-transparent soup.
06:50 The leader of the boys started the duel with a crowbar.
06:58 But after Butcher loses the weapon, he takes on the strong Translucent with his bare hands.
07:04 While the Englishman's physical strength isn't enough for the job,
07:07 he's able to surge ahead thanks to an electric assist from Huey.
07:11 The sheer determination Butcher displayed helped this dust-up become
07:23 one of the show's most memorable David vs. Goliath confrontations.
07:27 Number 3. The Boys vs. Soldier Boy
07:30 Butcher was ready to side with anyone who was willing to kill Homelander.
07:34 But after Soldier Boy threatened the young Ryan, the leader of the boys changed his tune.
07:38 Butcher's super strength and laser vision were seemingly enough to give him the win.
07:46 But when Soldier Boy overwhelmed him, a few of the boys arrived to help everyone survive.
07:52 The ensuing battle was full of close calls, devastating hits, and great twists.
07:57 And it also helps that every single member of the boys gets to literally or figuratively shine.
08:08 The nail-biting battle is only decided at the very last second.
08:12 While the fight took a heavy toll on multiple heroes,
08:15 it was thrilling to see the boys come out on top.
08:18 Number 2. Kimiko, Starlight, and Mae vs. Stormfront
08:26 By the time the extremely hateful electric soup went after the boys,
08:34 Kimiko and Starlight were hungry for payback.
08:37 The heroic duo held nothing back as they rushed into battle to pummel Stormfront.
08:42 Unfortunately, the villains still proved to be too much for Kimiko,
08:45 Starlight, and the boys to handle. But everything changed when Maeve arrived.
08:50 Once she started fighting alongside the heroes, Stormfront stood absolutely no chance.
09:01 This beatdown was extremely cathartic for everyone involved.
09:05 Not only did the hateful Stormfront get her comeuppance,
09:08 but Kimiko got well-deserved revenge for her brother's untimely murder.
09:12 We also loved seeing three heroines topple a supervillain.

09:58 Butcher made an epic entrance into the fray.
10:01 Watching the two leaders fight on an even playing field was exhilarating.
10:09 This battle royale kept us on our toes with excellent choreography and satisfying turns.
10:15 And just when we thought things couldn't get better,
10:17 Soldier Boy and Huey jumped into the melee to bring Homelander down.
10:21 Homelander ultimately got away before dying.
10:24 However, this pivotal fight hinted that it was actually possible for the boys to walk
