00:00 >> Good.
00:03 >> So I know that five weeks at this time of the season can be very beneficial.
00:09 And I think in a lot of ways to our team, it was very beneficial.
00:14 I think we got lots of guys that were banged up a little bit, some rest and
00:19 limited reps so that they heal up.
00:21 And of course, we won't know how well that happens until we see how they
00:26 respond this week.
00:28 And we got a lot of good repetitions on future opponents as well as LSU in
00:33 five weeks.
00:34 So that should enhance our preparation for this game.
00:39 So as I told the players when they left Thursday after practice,
00:45 I wanted them to enjoy their time off.
00:47 But I also wanted them to be focused and ready to go and
00:51 all that when we get back because LSU is really, really good team.
00:57 They probably one of the best teams in the country right now.
01:00 I know they are the best team in the country on offense.
01:03 We're gonna need an excellent attention to detail, focus,
01:08 good technical preparation in the game.
01:11 So that everybody plays responsibility football, whether it's offense,
01:15 defense, or special teams.
01:17 I think this has developed into sort of a rivalry game because they're always ranked,
01:24 it's always a big game relative to what happens in our division.
01:30 So it's an important game for both teams.
01:35 I think Brian Kelly has done a phenomenal job bringing this team along.
01:40 The improvement that they made, the kind of team they had a year ago,
01:43 as well as even a better team that they have this year,
01:48 in terms of what they've been able to accomplish and what they've been able to do.
01:51 And I think it starts with their offense, they're the number one offensive team in
01:55 the country.
01:55 And it starts with the quarterback, Jake Daniels, and
02:00 this guy's a phenomenal player.
02:02 He's a little threat player, he's a great passer,
02:04 he makes lots of plays with his feet, fast.
02:08 That not only can scramble to run, but can scramble to throw.
02:12 They've got a really good running back in Logan Diggs,
02:17 I think a good tight end in Mason Taylor.
02:20 Neighbors of Brian Thomas are really, really good receivers, but
02:25 they have also a lot of good skill guys to go with them.
02:28 Their offensive line is big and physical, and
02:30 they're able to create great balance on offense.
02:34 So it's gonna be very challenging for us to be able to play the kind of discipline
02:39 football that you need to be able to play and not make mistakes.
02:43 Tackle well in the game and be physical and try to win on the long scrimmage,
02:47 which is gonna be challenging defensively.
02:50 They are good players, they're in front seven, they're big, they're physical,
02:54 and they play well together as a team.
02:59 I think that sometimes they've had some struggles in the secondary,
03:07 some guys injured and different things like that.
03:09 But they also make a lot of big plays.
03:12 They can rush, they affect the quarterback, and they can't cover.
03:17 So this is gonna be a challenge for us from that standpoint too.
03:22 And these guys have a lot of good athletes and a lot of really good team
03:25 speed, so that makes them really good on special teams.
03:27 They have good specialists, so this is a really, really good team all the way.
