00:15 she was still praying for a miracle.

00:18 I don't think she ever thought that she would go,

00:22 which is a really beautiful thing about her.

00:24 - Even in her last days, she was saying,

00:26 I'm gonna win and I'm gonna write a book about all of this

00:29 so that everyone else can also be helped.

00:31 - What were the last things you guys said to her?

00:33 - Just how much we loved her and she braided Violet's hair.

00:37 - Yeah, the last visit I had with her was really beautiful.

00:40 I could tell that we were nearing an end at that point

00:43 and she reached over and she said,

00:46 oh Violet, you've always had the most beautiful hair.

00:49 And she motioned for me to turn around and I turned around.

00:53 - And she didn't have much movement at this point either,

00:55 so for her to do this was spectacular.

00:58 - She sat slowly, piece over piece,

01:00 and braided my hair until she reached the end.

01:16 especially from where she came, an alcoholic father,

01:19 but to come out of it so strong and so determined

01:27 she had the softness of a butterfly.

01:31 - You know, ever since she's passed,

01:34 I have felt her guiding me and I have felt her saying,

01:37 go get it and what you want, you go for it.

01:40 And don't worry about what anyone thinks.
