Dracula’s Spooky Transylvanian Castle Sees Record Halloween Visitors

The storied 14th-century Bran Castle is purported to be the inspiration behind Dracula’s home in Bram Stoker’s 19th-century gothic novel 'Dracula'.

00:34 But we found a way which we believe it may work.

00:39 It's actually a campaign that became part of our everyday, of the everyday operation.

00:46 It's called Royal by Day, Wicked by Night.

00:50 So whatever happens after sunset belongs to the Count, whatever happens during the day

00:54 belongs to the real history.

00:57 We decided to come here because it's Dracula Castle, so we read a lot about it on the internet.

01:02 And we are doing like a road trip in Transylvania.

01:05 We like a lot to come here because we saw a lot of people dressed with Halloween clothes.

01:10 And inside the castle there is like an Halloween exhibition.

01:13 And so it's very, very nice.

01:16 We take a lot of pictures because there is a part where you can put like dresses and

01:20 all kind of costumes.

01:23 And so it's a very, very great experience.

01:25 We had seen some pictures and stuff prior to coming, but after being here it was fantastic

01:29 for my family and kids and we had a wonderful time.

01:31 The best part was there was one staircase that's like really creaky.

01:36 And so I think that was fun because it's like, you know, kind of felt spooky, but it's not

01:40 scary at all.

01:41 Without a doubt, it becomes a local tradition to spend Halloween in Transylvania at Brown

01:50 The whole area is fully booked.

01:53 It's almost impossible to find accommodation.
