The King has planted a tree with a 10-year-old environmental campaigner while on a visit to Karura Forest in Nairobi.
Karen Kimani - who has already planted more than 10,000 trees - wrote to Buckingham Palace earlier this year asking if the royal would accompany her.
While on a 700m walk through the urban forest, the royal also met Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Wangari Maathai's daughter Wanjira, and Kenyan marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge. Report by Alibhaiz.
