00:00 We saw a very spooky trade deadline pass. Now who do you feel like won this trade deadline?
00:06 When I say this, there's cowboy fans who are saying, "Oh, Fish, you're such a homer.
00:11 You're not listening." So I'm going to try this again. Just because you made a trade doesn't mean
00:16 you did good. Just because you didn't make a trade doesn't mean you suck. All the trades,
00:22 if they're just trading for the sake of trading, if it's just the do something club,
00:28 well that can be spinning your wheels. It can also be overpaying. Not every trade works. But
00:34 indisputably, as the Cowboys took an approach of, "Hey, we like our team." Jerry's saying,
00:41 "We're not going to make phone calls." That didn't turn out to be true, but it still created a vibe.
00:46 And the next thing you know, and we did the math on this, of the four teams in the NFC West,
00:54 all four of them made October deadline deals. Of the four teams in the NFC North,
01:03 all four teams made October deadline deals. And three of the four teams in the NFC East,
01:10 Philadelphia Giants commanders, all made October deadline deals. The one that didn't is Dallas.
01:18 And I do understand the critical fan who's saying, at the very least, saying, "That creates
01:24 the impression that they didn't make the effort." My criticism of what is partly about what Stephen
01:32 Jones said going in, the Cowboys COO, he just talked about how hard it was to make a trade.
01:38 And I don't blame a Cowboy fan for going, "Doesn't look that hard for the other 15 teams."
01:45 11 other teams made trades in the NFC. It didn't look that hard for them.
