00:35 with Drake taking home the most awards, a whopping 34.

00:41 - But what makes the BBMAs unique to other award shows?
00:44 Simple, it's all data-driven.
00:46 Winners are chosen solely based on how well they perform
00:49 on the Billboard charts.
00:51 - I remember when I first hit the Billboard.
00:53 - The BBMAs track album and digital song sales,
00:56 radio airplay, as well as streaming and social engagement
00:59 to choose the winner of each category.
01:01 During the show, artists appear on the BBMA stage
01:04 to accept their award
01:05 or perform their latest chart-topping hit.
01:08 But what will be different this year?
01:10 Everything.
01:11 The Billboard Music Awards are set to deliver
01:13 an entirely new award show concept.
