00:00 So, when you're setting your fireworks up, make sure you're on a nice flat area.
00:09 Have a bucket of water ready.
00:11 Also, it's quite a good idea to have a bucket of sand or soft earth that you can actually
00:16 place your fireworks into.
00:23 Consider your wind direction and wind strength.
00:26 So, what we're talking about there is when the firework is fired, you've got some idea
00:31 of where the debris is going to fall because there are a lot of injuries every year, not
00:35 just from burns, but people actually being hit from the debris from the burnt firework
00:40 falling out of the sky.
00:41 Some fireworks do actually have metal components to them.
00:51 If you have any fireworks that don't go off, don't return to them.
00:55 What you can do is when it's safe to do so, and this applies to a spent firework as well,
01:01 put them in your bucket of water and let them soak.
01:03 And then at the end of the night, once they've soaked through, they're safe to put into your
01:07 normal waste hole rubbish.
