00:02 - We got Washington and New England.
00:05 Next game up here, Mark.
00:07 This one went 20 to 17.
00:08 The Commanders on top of the Patriots.
00:11 New England went off as the two and a half point favorite
00:14 at home.
00:15 Game stays under 40 in the hook.
00:17 So a sweat fest for the total.
00:19 The underdog wins outright with the Commanders.
00:22 Getting this one 20 to 17.
00:24 What'd you take away from New England today?
00:27 - Another game I didn't really pay too much close attention
00:32 to because it was two bad teams that really brought nothing
00:34 to the table.
00:35 But it was a Mack Jones interception at the end of the game
00:37 that kind of sealed it for the Commanders.
00:38 And, you know, Washington continues to sort of eke
00:42 out wins.
00:43 They're not going to win games by margin.
00:45 They're going to be close.
00:46 Sam Howell was good today, not great.
00:48 And Washington for all the people that they just traded away
00:52 at the trade deadline, guess what?
00:54 When you play a bad offense,
00:55 you can still only give up 17 points.
00:57 - Yeah, I mean, Washington's 0-3 in division,
01:00 but they're four and five overall.
01:03 Sam Howell did throw for 325 yards today
01:06 against the Patriots offense.
01:07 Pat's moved to just two and seven.
01:10 Man, I'll tell you this.
01:14 Frankie behind the scenes, our producers, guys,
01:16 he was telling me off camera about Gillette being built
01:21 in 2002 and the Patriots have more losses in that stadium
01:26 since Tom Brady has left, not that many years ago,
01:30 than they did the whole time he was there.
01:33 Man, also Mack Jones throwing more pick sixes
01:38 than Tom Brady had in that stadium as well.
01:40 So it's been a little bit of a drop off here
01:43 for the Patriots in recent years,
01:45 but the Commanders do win 20 to 17 as the dog
01:49 and sitting at four and five,
01:51 Mark, I'll throw this one back to you.
01:53 I mean, they're third in the division.
01:55 They're a game under 500.
01:57 They're also five and four ATS, by the way.
02:01 What kind of chances are you giving Washington?
02:03 You said eek out wins.
02:04 Can they eek out enough to punch a playoff ticket
02:06 or you think that's too long of a shot?
02:09 - No, yeah, I think it's too long of a shot
02:11 at this point in time.
02:11 I don't think that they really,
02:13 they just don't have enough right now.
02:18 There's just way too many.
02:20 Way too many obstacles in front of them at this point.
02:24 - Yeah, I'm looking at possible wildcard teams.
02:27 I mean, it would be the Seahawks.
02:28 They dropped one today.
02:30 You know, we were talking about the Falcons.
02:31 They're also a game under Vikings sitting at five and four.
02:35 And then of course the Cowboys with that game
02:38 coming up five and, I'm seeing five and two.
02:40 Yeah, I don't know.
02:43 It's gonna be a long shot here for Washington,
02:45 but something to watch.
02:46 They've given up 245 points on the season
02:50 in terms of scoring defense.
02:52 That is the worst in the NFC.
02:55 They have given up a ton of points.
02:57 It's actually the worst in all of the NFL.
03:00 Patriots given up 228 as well.
03:02 So these two defenses really struggling.
03:04 However, the game did stay under 40 and a half.
03:06 Commanders win it 20 to 17.
