00:00 I'm here in Salt X Hub, which is a collaboration venue between Craft Brewers Salt and Hub Coffee Company.
00:07 Whereabouts are you?
00:10 So we're located in Leeds on East Parade, 26th to 27th.
00:14 And what do you offer here?
00:16 We offer something for everyone, from 8am in the morning to midnight.
00:21 Hub offers great craft coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and Salt offers craft beer and coffee.
00:27 And this special coffee that you have on the table here in front of you, tell us a little bit about what's different about it and what's the response been like?
00:36 So this is cold brewed coffee that's been infused with nitrogen.
00:40 And cold brewed coffee has a very different flavour profile to traditionally hot brewed coffee.
00:46 It's naturally sweeter and less bitter than a hot brewed coffee.
00:49 And then infusing it with nitrogen adds a level of creaminess.
00:53 So it's altogether a sweeter, more mellow, creamier coffee drink.
00:57 So this is our original black cold brew.
01:00 It's brewed with specialty coffee beans for 16 to 24 hours.
01:04 And that results in a sweeter, less bitter flavour.
01:07 And then it's infused with nitrogen, so as you can see it forms a thick, creamy head and it pours very similar to a pint of Guinness.
01:14 And this is our original black, but we do latte versions and then flavoured versions that are shaken over ice with different sauces.
01:23 And the reaction's been great. Cold coffee is massively growing.
01:28 And we believe that cold brew coffee is the ultimate way to enjoy a cold coffee beverage.
01:33 And you've got two on draft here at the minute.
01:36 Is it the case that you can get more as time goes on or can you just mix the ones that you've got with other things that you can produce here?
01:44 Both to be honest. So we have two on draft at the moment.
01:48 But you can add syrups or we have a specialty menu where we shake them in a cocktail shaker.
01:55 For instance, one of our most popular coffees is called a Bueno.
01:59 And that's cold brew shaken with white chocolate, hazelnut sauce and milk poured over ice.
02:05 But over time we plan to introduce more types and more seasonal variants as the appreciation for cold brew grows.
