00:05 Some drivers are too small for the new fare matrix.

00:12 Every day, a nursing student, Cherry May, rides a tricycle from Baseco, Tondo to Divisoria

00:20 to ride a jeep to school.

00:22 Her system is the same.

00:24 She has been riding a tricycle for a long time. She has experienced all kinds of transportation to save on her fare.

00:31 We have a fare of P20.

00:34 Students only pay P15, but they don't say P15.

00:39 You are still obliged to pay P20.

00:42 Even if there are only four students, you should pay P20.

00:45 But if there are six students, it should not be P20, but P15.

00:50 But they still charge P20.

00:52 There is a tricycle driver who is still hiring.

00:57 It depends. Sometimes, if you bring a lot, they ask if it is special, you can go straight to your house.

01:19 But in the new fare matrix issued by Manila City Hall, there is no charge for the hiring of tricycle drivers.

01:25 The base fare of tricycle and pedicab should be P16 for the first kilometer.

01:30 Plus P5 per 500 meters.

01:34 The flat rate of P20 will be paid to e-trikes in each route.

01:38 But according to some tricycle drivers, it is too small.

01:41 To be honest, it is small because gasoline is expensive now.

01:45 P20 is for one person.

01:49 To be honest, P20 is a big deal for us.

01:55 Because P10 is saved for gas and P10 is for food and rice.

02:01 P16 is a bit low because gasoline is expensive now.

02:08 But for P20, it is okay.

02:12 But they can't do anything if they don't follow the rules because the charge is more expensive if they get caught.

02:17 The charge is P1,000 if they get caught.

02:19 And their tricycle can be impounded if they get caught again and again.
