Transcript
00:00 and about the World Cup, we have news that Afghanistan has won the toss and decided to bat.
00:05 How does that affect your plans for today?
00:10 Not really too much. We would have had a bat, but yeah, it's fine.
00:15 How's Steve doing? I know he was struggling a little bit with vertigo.
00:18 And what have you done with your side then for today?
00:20 Yeah, two changes. Steve's struggled a little bit in warm-up, so he's going to miss out today.
00:25 Cam Green misses out as well, but we've got Maxwell and Marsh back in.
00:29 Looking at the side and how things have gone, you've obviously gone on a really good run at the moment.
00:33 How do you assess the team coming into this fixture?
00:36 Because obviously a win today, you know you're going to make it through.
00:39 Yeah, really happy with how we've gone, five in a row.
00:41 I think one of the most pleasing things is we've had 14 guys that have played so far this tournament.
00:45 Everyone's done well, so we feel like whoever comes in, it's pretty seamless and yeah, long may it continue.
00:51 As a captain, management now of your players in the conditions, the heat, it is obviously a little bit warm again at Wankire.
00:56 As we expect, how important is that from your point of view, managing the players in the field?
01:01 It's always a factor. It's a bit cooler than it was a month ago.
01:04 So yeah, we'll be fine. We've got plenty of bowling options, so we need to have as short a spell as we can.
01:09 Good luck, play well.
01:10 Thank you.
01:11 Afghanistan has decided to fight back against Australia.
