Next day, an amused Xiao Min mocks the two boys for their cowardice. There is no such thing as ghosts. Ah Boy challenges Xiao Min to spend the night at their place. She agrees. The three of them then take turns to wait for the ‘ghost’. The trio are about to fall asleep when they hear sounds from the backyard. They wake up immediately and huddle outside the house to investigate. They see a dark shadow lurking in the backyard. They almost freak out until the shadow gives a loud, manly sneeze. The three kids realise that the mysterious shadow is human after all. Ah Boy jumps to the conclusion that a burglar is trying to break into the house. He makes a plan to capture the burglar, a la Home Alone style. When the burglar has finally been captured, the three kids are shocked to discover the identity of the prowler. It’s Mr Teo. Mr Teo reveals that he’s been worried about the two boys being left on their own that he came on the island to watch them from afar. He apologises for not trusting them enough, and he promises to leave them alone. They haven’t exactly abused the trust given to them, but they have been irresponsible in their behaviour. They invite Mr Teo to stay the night with them.
