00:10 My name is John Beddoe and I'm from Prescott, Arizona. It's day two of the Power Tour here in Tulsa.
00:15 This is my '74 AMC Matador Coupe that we just finished just prior to the tour.
00:20 We've been working on it for three years.
00:22 It's got a 401 belt, ported and polished heads, comp cam, roller rockers,
00:28 you know, the usual hot rod stuff. Runs good. It's gotten me here.
00:33 The paint is a glazerette, just called bright orange. Nothing fancy, but it's a base coat, clear coat with a lot of pigment in it.
00:41 Had to use the internet to find a lot of the parts because they just don't remanufacture anything for these
00:48 and there's not much new old stock left because they didn't make many of these coupes like this.
00:53 We've been watching this car sitting in a used car lot, all faded and everything, for three years.
00:59 In Congress, Arizona, we'd look at it and we'd think, you know, that'd make a good power tour car.
01:03 We did '99, 2000, 2001 in a '56 Bel Air that we had built.
01:10 And we decided, well, we'll do something different this time and we'll build this Matador and we'll have it done in about a year.
01:17 Well, it took three years, but it's done now.
01:20 So we missed two tours and we're glad to be back on the tour and really look forward to it.
01:25 Enjoy.
