00:00 Hi, I'm Steven Watson with Off-Road Design. We're here on our last day of the Ultimate Adventure 2014 at Flat Nasty Off-Road Park.
00:06 Just finishing up a great day of wheeling and a great day of Ultimate Adventuring.

00:18 You'll notice one of the things that we've seen a lot on this event is winding around through trees, tight gulch trails,
00:25 getting over rocks and getting a full-size through. That stuff is not easy.
00:29 And you can see we've had all sizes and shapes, everything from buggies to big full-size crew cab trucks here.
00:36 And we specialize in building the parts to make that work.
00:39 Specifically on the Chevy trucks, and a lot of our pieces bleed over into other makes and brands to make everything work.
00:45 For example, we've got a Magnum, our four-speed transfer case system, in Fred's Dodge truck, the official Petersons vehicle this year.
00:53 And Vijay's looking to put one in his Chevy K30 with his Dodge Cummins engine.
00:58 The Magnum box that Off-Road Design builds, I see that coming in the future for this truck,
01:03 because a heavier rig like this really needs a lot more low range in it. It makes it more controlled.
01:09 You really can't go slamming into things with a fully spring truck.
01:13 It's a lot of weight, it's a lot of truck to throw around, so when you can slow it down with that Magnum box they have,
01:18 and find another low range, you can control it a whole lot better.
01:21 And it's really something I'm going to put into this truck later on.
01:25 The Magnum is really our premier product for this event.
01:29 It's a four-speed transfer case system using components of a 205 transfer case,
01:34 and then a planetary underdrive system with a massive intermediate shaft in it,
01:39 that gives you a full four gears that are totally usable out of the transfer case.
01:43 There's no weak spots, there's no gears that don't work in certain situations.
01:48 If your vehicle needs that gear, you use it and make it happen.
