00:00 The Hummer H2 Road Diaries.

00:12 We got to bed really late last night, about 4 AM was when we finally checked in.

00:17 Good news is we had the alarm go off at 8 AM, ready to start all over again.

00:21 We drove up to St. George, Utah, into Zion, past Bryce.

00:27 We've pretty much been driving all day.

00:29 We see as much as we can see, get back in the vehicle, and head to the next destination.

00:34 We just got back from Arches National Park.

00:36 It would have been really great, but we showed up a few minutes after sunset.

00:40 We had to hustle to really get the shot.

00:42 And now we're on to try to make the Utah-Colorado border.

00:47 We've been driving like madmen for hours and hours, and for some reason we just don't seem

00:52 to be getting anywhere.

00:53 We're driving north now through central Wyoming on Interstate 25, and we just hit a huge rainstorm.

01:19 There's lightning all around us, and the wipers can barely keep up with the water on the windshield.

01:23 In fact, a few hours ago, outside of Denver, lightning struck right by our vehicle a few

01:29 hundred feet away.

01:30 Whoa, there goes another one right now.

01:32 It's really scary out here.

01:34 For the most part, we've been really impressed with the way the Hummer handles on the highway.

01:39 But with these crosswinds, approximately 50 miles an hour, the upright stance of the Hummer

01:43 makes it very hard to drive in a straight line.

01:46 We're all over the road.

01:50 Hey.

01:53 Hey, we should probably get going.

02:10 We're at the base of Devil's Tower.

02:11 This rock monument was made very famous in close encounters with the third kind.

02:15 These very boulders right here are where Richard Dreyfuss scrambled around right at the end

02:19 of the movie.

02:20 If you look real closely on the side of the mountain, you can actually see rock climbers

02:24 ascending the side of the mountain.

02:26 Up on top, they say it's about a football field size.

02:28 That'll be a lot of fun.
