Gutting a 1997 Wrangler from the Frame Down for a MetalCloak RockSport Long-Arm Suspension.

00:00 Alright, so it's day two of our week to wheeling and not Christian one, but Christian two standing

00:08 Well, we got to drill some holes on the frame.

00:11 Got to finish up the suspension that we did not finish yesterday.
00:14 So a lot of welding and a lot of drilling.

00:18 I felt bad yesterday because I don't feel like I got dirty enough, so I did wear my
00:21 work boots today.
00:22 I'll personally drill the holes, we'll get them welded in.
00:25 Got some bungs to put in there, so let's get going.

00:32 So what we're going to do now is clean that up real quick, get the oil off of it.
00:35 I'm going to deburr it, grind the outside a bit, and then we're going to weld her up.
00:40 Now that we got them welded in, we'll take our drill bit, we'll drill all the way through
01:03 to the other side of the frame.
01:05 With the bungs in there, it'll keep the drill bit nice and straight and it'll come out of
01:08 the other side exactly where it needs to be.
01:10 Don't need to weld the other side up because once you have everything bolted in, the pressure
01:14 of the bolt tightening up against the nut and the bracket will keep everything sandwiched
01:17 in there.
01:19 So we've done the easy work.
01:20 We brought Scott in to do the hard work.
01:21 He's going to lift up the bracket for us so we can install the hardware.

04:19 So, I'm just hitting off the paint on the frame and the bracket to make a clean weld.
04:30 So, right now we're just getting as far as we can go in the suspension install without

04:43 So, we're installing our lower metal cloak arms.
04:46 These are really nice, high-quality forged ends with Kevlar infused rubber spherical
04:51 bushings.
04:52 And once we get the arms hung, we are going to probably drop it down and move on to the

05:03 That's the plan for the rest of the day, I think.
