00:00 >> Yeah, it does feel different doing it because I never had the opportunity to do
00:03 it at any of the other places I was at.
00:05 So, like I talked about early on when I first signed him and
00:10 coach told me that I was gonna have the opportunity to do that.
00:14 My eyes just stood up because I wanna be a ball player and
00:17 be in any position that they feel and I feel can help the team be successful.
00:22 >> How's it different when you're back there?
00:24 Were your eyes different or were some of your keys different?
00:27 >> Yeah, when you're a quarterback, you're solely focused on the guy that's in front
00:30 of you and you don't really have an opportunity to see everything else that's
00:35 going on on the football field.
00:36 So when you plan safeties and plan those zone drops,
00:41 you have an opportunity now to read the quarterback and
00:45 kinda read his shoulders so he can help put you in position versus being close up
00:50 on a guy, worrying about each and every little move that he make, you have to be on it.
00:55 So it's a little bit easier covering space than a guy for sure.
01:00 >> How did you guys get by without Minka as well as you did last game and
01:04 how do you do that if you have to move forward?
01:07 >> Yeah, we obviously still don't know how long Minka will be out.
01:12 We all know that he's the soul and the heartbeat of this secondary.
01:15 We wish him nothing but the best, but he's in the meeting room with us each and
01:19 every day, he's on the sideline communicating with guys, helping guys
01:23 understand what positions they need to be in, and certain calls,
01:29 certain concepts to look for.
01:31 So he's around each and every helping the guys who are stepping in for
01:34 his position like me, KZ, and Keanu.
01:38 >> And you mentioned it's something you wanted to do.
01:40 Is it something that you'd like doing and that it's suited,
01:42 you feel like it's been suiting your game moving around and playing some safety?
01:45 >> I definitely think it has been suiting my game a lot.
01:48 It gives me an opportunity to not only just be all over the place,
01:53 but kind of be accounted for now.
01:56 Cuz just being a left corner, like all right, Peterson is over there.
01:59 He's not pretty much gonna be anywhere else now.
02:02 When you look at the film, they blitz me a little bit now on the middle runner
02:06 sometimes, so you just never know what you're gonna get when we game plan for a team.
02:12 And I think that's the beauty of our secondary in totality because we have so
02:17 many guys that you can plug in different places that can help us be successful.
