00:00 Well listen lady, you've been busy. You were straight out dancing with the stars last night on to the CMAs. How are you?
00:05 I'm a little bit
00:07 tired. I didn't sleep on the plane so...
00:10 But it's okay. You know my adrenaline and excitement being here tonight
00:14 is what's keeping me going. I had so much fun last night dancing with the stars
00:18 and I'm so excited to be here as a big fan
00:21 almost sitting front and center
00:23 to the magnificent
00:25 talent, the performances, the
00:28 collaborations and of course the Jimmy Buffet tribute.
00:31 I know, that's going to be a beautiful way to honor him.
00:34 And you know a girl that's like trying to get her footing
00:37 named Carrie Underwood.
00:39 Just a little known star. Just a little humongously known
00:44 magnificent super super star.
00:46 It makes me so proud.
00:48 What's it like for you to see her right now and you were right there at the beginning?
00:54 What can I say? It's always
00:55 such a proud moment for me.
00:57 I feel like a proud
00:59 aunt, older sister, maybe even mom.
01:02 You know I do and I support
01:05 the amazing talent that I got to see for all nine seasons.
01:09 I hear that you are writing your story, putting pen to paper.
01:12 I am. I started my memoir. People are going,
01:15 "I can't believe you haven't done it yet."
01:17 I can't believe that. When I saw that I was like, "Wait, I thought I read that."
01:19 No, I...
01:21 Exactly.
01:23 It's a daunting process. I've had
01:26 so many separate and distinct careers that
01:29 it's going to be hard to get all the stories in, but I'm
01:32 really excited about that. And I'm producing my very first
01:36 Broadway musical.
01:37 Congratulations.
01:38 Yes, it's called How to Dance in Ohio
01:41 based on the HBO documentary and it's about
01:45 young adults on the autistic spectrum that are getting ready for their
01:49 first formal dance.
01:51 And it's been made into a musical, same name, How to Dance in Ohio.
01:56 And what's record-breaking in history-making is that
01:59 it's never on Broadway before, has a lead cast.
02:03 The lead seven members are all on the autistic spectrum.
02:08 That's amazing.
02:09 Yes, it's finally. And it's such a heartwarming show.
02:12 I'm so proud of it. I can't wait. It opens up December 10th and previews are November 15th.
02:18 Wow. Congratulations.
02:20 Thank you so much.
02:21 Amazing.
