00:00 The 2024 Grammy nominations are here with artists like SZA, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus topping
00:07 the list. But with the nominations come the inevitable snubs and shockers. We're breaking
00:13 them all down starting with SZA's major year. The singer is leading the Grammy noms with nine,
00:20 including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year for SOS. Taylor Swift is
00:27 also making Grammy history this year with her Album of the Year nomination for Midnight's.
00:32 The singer now ties with the one and only Barbara Streisand for the most nominations in the field
00:38 by a woman in Grammy history. Taylor is up for six statues total this year. Six is also the number of
00:46 noms scored by Miley Cyrus for her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, including her
00:52 first time ever being nominated in the categories of Record of the Year and Song of the Year,
00:58 among others. Here's a look at some other top nominees by the numbers. Phoebe Bridgers scores
01:03 seven nominations, including six for her supergroup Boy Genius, alongside Lucy Dacus and
01:10 Julian Baker. Victoria Monet is up for seven awards, including Best New Artist. John Batiste,
01:17 Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo are also among this year's top nominated artists. And Ryan Gosling
01:25 proving he's ken-uff with his Grammy nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media, a category
01:32 dominated by hits from the Barbie movie. Ryan's song I'm Just Ken is nominated alongside Barbie
01:39 World, Dance the Night, and Billie Eilish's What Was I Made For. But with the inevitable surprises,
01:46 there are also the snubs. Morgan Wallen was completely shut out of this year's awards,
01:51 despite his chart-topping album One Thing at a Time. Luke Combs' smash hit version of Tracy
01:57 Chapman's Fast Car was also left off the general categories list, though it is up for Best Country
02:03 Solo Performance. And fans of K-pop were quick to notice that there were zero nominations for
02:09 solo BTS members, including Jimin and Jungkook who were eligible for Record of the Year.
