Mike Tomlin reacts to the Pittsburgh Steelers' 23-19 win over the Green Bay Packers.

00:01 I'm really just appreciative of the mindset of our group, man.

00:05 They wanna make the significant plays and the significant moments, and

00:09 it's a good thing, cuz these games are always tight.

00:12 Let's talk about why it was tight.

00:13 We lost some significant possession downs early in the game.

00:19 A couple third downs, they not only converted them, but

00:22 they turned them into scores.

00:25 Those two touchdowns in the first half, we gotta be able to win those downs and

00:29 fight for those four points, make people settle for field goals.

00:33 We weren't able to do it, and so the game got tight.

00:37 We had to settle for a few field goals, some.

00:40 They played on the back of those two touchdown opportunities, and

00:45 so it was game on from there.

00:47 But really appreciative of the effort.

00:50 I thought our bigs up front on offense did a really good job of kinda controlling it.

00:55 I thought we were able to run the ball effectively, and

01:00 that's a good posture to play from.

01:03 We made the necessary splash plays on defense in the waning moments, man,

01:08 when they got somewhat one dimensional.

01:09 They do a really good job, man, of kinda keeping you off balance schematically and

01:16 minimizing that young quarterback's exposure to a defense.

01:19 But later in the game, man, when it gets a little bit thick,

01:22 I thought we would have our opportunities, and we did, and we made them.

01:26 So excited about that.

01:29 Bumps and bruises associated with play.

01:31 Pierce Kwon Alexander has a serious lower body injury.

01:36 He's being evaluated, but not promising there.

01:41 Deontay Johnson had a thumb, was able to finish.

01:45 Keanu O'Neal had a rib injury of some description.

01:50 And I think we had Trent in there at the end of the game for him.

01:53 And so we gotta assess who's available to us and put together a good plan.

02:00 We won't make excuses about who we have available or who we don't.

02:04 We got an appropriate amount of time to prepare.

02:07 We're going on a divisional road game, and so

02:10 you know what that means in the north, has our attention.
