00:11 But unlike most games of its ilk, it's entirely possible to finish the whole story without
00:16 picking up some key bits of this special equipment.
00:19 Case in point, the reinforced blade.
00:21 Here's how to get it.
00:22 There are actually two ways to get the reinforced blade.
00:26 The first way presents itself during the main story and opens up some more possibilities
00:30 on the map, so we'll take a look at that first.
00:33 Once you reach Petiti, you'll find it as part of a side quest called Stay of Execution.
00:38 This is triggered once Etsy tells you about Hakann being taken prisoner, which automatically
00:42 happens as you go through the main quest.
00:44 There's one more thing.
00:46 Hakann has been captured.
00:48 He's my friend Kiara's dad.
00:51 If he's sacrificed...

00:56 To start it, you'll need to speak to Kiara in the upper city, who can be found sitting
01:01 on some steps right about here.
01:04 She then gives you the quest to go and save her father Hakann, who is indeed being held
01:08 prisoner.
01:09 The sequence needed to rescue her father is simple.
01:12 After travelling to this area and speaking to the people with cogs above their heads
01:16 to make sure they're in, you need to ask this person to call the prayer horn, then go over
01:21 to the musicians and get them to start playing.
01:24 Now swiftly, as the window is quite tight here, ask the two men here and here to help
01:29 you open the door.
01:31 The rest is easy and the knife is yours.

01:45 The second way to get the reinforced knife is to reinforce your existing blade by going
01:50 to the market in Petiti.
01:52 This is where an upgrade service is available for sale for 2,900 gold from this merchant.
01:58 If you have the standard knife, upgrading it will now give you the ability to break
02:01 through reinforced knife locked doors.
02:04 But if you already have the reinforced knife from saving Hakann, it not only means that
02:08 you take more resources from animals you skin, but it also has this nice little bonus of
02:13 giving you a Crocodile Dundee referencing achievement.
