00:00 Is the election 2025 already a sign of the changes in the alliances in the House of Representatives?

00:07 A congressman who is a party member of the President and a House Speaker said that

00:12 the strong point of the next election is still the absence of former President's party members.

00:20 He quoted Lieutenant-Colonel Perez.

00:27 President Bongbong Marcos is the first to be honored for the 60th birthday celebration of House Speaker Martin Romualdez last night.

00:35 The President expressed his gratitude for the support given by the camera under the leadership of his cousin Romualdez.

00:44 And so, the part of the House of Representatives, both houses of Congress,

00:50 they play a critical part for all our aspirations to make life better for every Filipino.

00:59 And I cannot finish without pointing out that this very strong message of support

01:08 could not have been possible without the fine leadership of our Speaker, our birthday boy, Speaker Martin Romualdez.

01:18 And we have seen that this kind of unity is not simple to achieve.

01:25 And it requires a great deal of work, a great deal of compromise,

01:29 a great deal of commitment to what we feel is the best path that our country should be taking for a better future.

01:42 That was the President's statement during the changes of alliances inside the House of Representatives.

01:48 Members of the PDP-LABA of former President Rodrigo Duterte

01:54 and President Marcos' party, and the powerful CMD led by Romualdez,

02:01 said PDP-LABAN Vice President Fermin Danau and Surigao del Sur Congressman Johnny Pimentel

02:07 when the 19th Congress was held on 22nd, 1965, the members of the PDP-LABAN were 65.

02:14 Now, they are only 15 and it is possible that they will be reduced.

02:19 If my information is really reliable, I believe that only 45 members will be left in the PDP,

02:30 as far as Congress is concerned.

02:32 I'm already weighing my options. Most probably, I will also be transferring to another party.

02:39 One of the main reasons Pimentel saw the Congressmen in favor of PDP-LABAN

02:45 was Duterte's statement to the House that it is the most corrupt institution.

02:50 I believe it could also be one of the main reasons why they have decided to transfer to other political parties

02:58 because they could not anymore reconcile their mandate, their duties and functions

03:05 as members of the House of Representatives to their duties and functions as members of PDP-LABAN.

03:14 Pimentel said that in the next election, the strongest party is the CMD of the Speaker or the Federal Party of the President.
