00:00 Hello, it's Martin Dempster, the Scotsman Golf Correspondent here, coming to you from
00:05 the Earthcourse at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, venue for this week's season-ending
00:11 DP World Tour Championship. The $10 million event features all 12 members of Europe's
00:18 victorious Ryder Cup team in Rome in September, and that means of course that the field is
00:25 being spearheaded by Rory McIlroy, John Ram, Victor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick,
00:32 and of course Scotland's Bob McIntyre, who made a winning debut in that Ryder Cup in
00:38 the Italian capital. McIlroy, he's arrived here having already been crowned as the Race
00:45 to Dubai champion for the second year running, and fifth time overall, resulting in last
00:51 week's Ned Bank Golf Challenge in South Africa, meant he can't be caught this week. Slight
00:57 disappointment for the fans who had been hoping that season-long title race would go to the
01:03 wire, but Rory, he's determined to sign off what's been a good year for him by winning
01:09 this event, when it would be for a third time. John Ram is the defending champion, the Spaniard
01:16 will be keen to put up a stout title defence at the end of another great year for him.
01:23 Four Scots on the field, I've already mentioned Bob McIntyre, he sits 11th in the Race to
01:29 Dubai rankings going into this event, and is close to securing a PGA Tour card for next
01:35 season, which would be a great result for him. He's being joined by Grant Forrest, Ewan
01:42 Ferguson and Connor Syme, and by being here, it means they've already had very satisfactory
01:48 seasons, but they're not here to make up the numbers. They'll be hoping to make their presence
