Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) drew the ire of House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) when the former brought up Comer's own family financials while tearing into Republicans' investigation into President Biden's family.

00:00 Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
00:02 How are you doing?
00:04 Great. Thank you.
00:06 My Republican colleagues are so concerned about budgets.
00:11 Meanwhile, they can't keep the government open without Democrats.
00:14 They're so concerned about all of these things, but look what they've done the last 11 months in power.
00:22 Just utter and complete chaos.
00:24 The one thing they want to talk to you about today is this FBI building.
00:28 I wonder who has texted them and emailed them to talk about the FBI building.
00:33 And the whole thing, that's it, you're here, about this FBI building.
00:36 Could that be that Donald Trump is telling them to talk about this FBI building because he's just so mad at the Department of Justice?
00:42 It's so transparent.
00:44 And by the way, I don't know if you know this, but we have a war in Afghanistan, a war in Israel.
00:49 We can't get Israel foreign aid because the Speaker decided to politicize it.
00:52 But they want to talk about furniture.
00:54 That is definitely on the American people's mind, right?
00:58 Right there with gas stoves and ceiling fans, other hearings we've had in this committee.
01:03 The chairman mentioned something, actually.
01:07 He said that the Biden administration can't have it both ways.
01:11 And I agree with that, Mr. Chairman, which is why I'm happy to yield you some of my time today, Mr. Chairman,
01:18 because I think you owe it to the American people to explain why you've gone on Fox News and told people that while the president was out of office,
01:26 he had a loan with his brother, and in a way they were evading taxes.
01:31 It has come out in the public that you also do business with your brother with potential loans.
01:35 And so since you have framed that and manipulated that with the American people,
01:39 that Joe Biden did something wrong when he wasn't in office, I just would like to know if you would like to use some of my time.
01:44 I would love it.
01:48 You retweeted that story. Completely false.
01:52 I've never loaned my brother one penny.
01:54 My father, who is a dentist, had some farmland.
01:58 He died, and my brother couldn't afford -- he wanted to sell it, but he wanted to keep it in the family, so I bought it from my brother.
02:08 That story that you tweeted also said I had a shell company.
02:12 That is bullshit.
02:14 You can come to Monroe County and look at all the land that is titled in that LLC.
02:22 I think that the problem is, you know, they tried to get -- the White House tried to get CNN to write that story.
02:29 They went around and investigated all this bullshit that Ian Sims is trying to tell people,
02:34 the only dumb, financially illiterate people pick up on, and said that it was a shell company because it was an LLC.
02:44 They're so financially illiterate that you think because something says LLC, it's a shell company.
02:51 This company, which I financially disclose, has properties, okay?
02:58 It manages over 1,000 acres of land for hunting purposes.
03:04 It owns different properties.
03:06 I'm one of the largest landowners in my home area, okay?
03:11 I went to the bank, and I borrowed money, and I bought that land.
03:14 I didn't get wires from Romania, China.
03:17 My family doesn't get wires, okay?
03:21 Never loaned my brother money.
03:24 Don't have an LLC.
03:27 But you and Goldman, who is Mr. Trust Fund, continue to try to --
03:32 >> We're claiming my time.
03:33 >> No, I'm not going to give you your time back.
03:35 We can stop the clock.
03:37 You all continue to -- you look like a smurf here just going around and all this stuff.
03:42 Now, listen -- >> Mr. Chairman, you have --
03:43 >> No, I'm going to tell you something.
03:45 >> No, no, hold on.
03:46 If we're not on time, we can --
03:47 >> You continue to spew disinformation.
03:48 You discount --
03:49 >> You have gone on TV and said the president did something illegal.
03:51 >> You discount --
03:52 >> You're doing stuff with your brother.
03:54 The American people have the same questions.
03:56 >> Why should they believe you?
03:57 Why should they believe you?
03:58 >> You're welcome to investigate anything you want to do.
04:00 >> There's a different rule for the president.
04:01 There's a different rule for you.
04:02 >> You can investigate anything you want.
04:03 >> Why should they believe what you're saying, Mr. Chairman?
04:05 Why?
04:06 You go on Fox News and say loans and appeals are a way to evade taxes.
04:10 We don't know that's what you're doing or not.
04:12 We don't know.
04:13 We have no idea.
04:14 We're supposed to take your word for it.
04:15 But when the president says something --
04:16 >> Well, you've already been proven a liar, Mr. Moskowitz.
04:19 >> What's that?
04:20 >> You've already been proven a liar.
04:21 >> Who's proven me a liar?
04:22 You?
04:23 >> Yes.
04:24 >> Your word means nothing, Mr. Chairman.
04:26 >> Go to my hometown.
04:27 There's a camera crew there today, an opposition research crew there today.
04:31 >> Mr. Chairman, this seems to have gotten under your skin.
04:35 >> I'll pay for your ticket.
04:36 >> I think the American people have lots of questions, Mr. Chairman,
04:39 and perhaps you should sit maybe for a deposition.
04:41 >> I will be happy.
04:42 I will sit with Hunter Biden and Jim Biden, and we can go over our LLC.
04:46 >> That will be great.
04:47 I'll make sure the ranking member is happy that you'll sit at a table.
04:51 >> Mr. Chairman, I make a point of order.
04:53 >> What's your point of order?
04:54 >> That we should return to regular order for the benefit of the other members.
04:58 >> The ranking member makes a good point.
05:00 >> I'll reclaim my time, Mr. Chairman.
05:02 I'll wrap it up quickly.
05:04 All I'm saying, Mr. Chairman, is you may have done nothing wrong.
05:07 >> But you tweeted that idea.
05:09 >> I'm reclaiming my time, Mr. Chairman.
05:11 There's a story out there, right, because we believe everything in the media.
05:15 Like when you go on Fox News and say things and everyone says that they're true
05:19 with innuendos and ifs and maybe the Biden family, the crime family, all this nonsense.
05:24 But when it happens to you, it's fake news.
05:27 And what I'm saying is there should be the same --
05:29 >> So you admit it's fake news.
05:30 >> I'm reclaiming my time, Mr. Chairman.
05:31 There should be the same standard.
05:33 You said at the beginning of this hearing, the Biden administration can't have it both ways.
05:36 Neither can you, Mr. Chairman.
05:38 I yield my time back.
05:39 Thank you.
05:40 >> Chair now recognizes Ms. Tlaib.
