We never leave the trailhead without our excellent Rhino USA gear.

--

We have spent the last couple years testing and reviewing all manner of tool organization and recovery gear storage solutions on our trips around the country. We’ve tried everything from a massive, heavy duffle bag full of straps and tools, to organized, hard-sided boxes.

Everything felt like a compromise till we found Rhino USA. Their Cordura nylon bags are damn near indestructible, and they’re simple, no-nonsense affairs that don’t needlessly tack on bells and whistles you’ll never use.

Their recovery gear is similarly excellent and easy to use. We take four of their burly soft shackles and a ⅝-inch kinetic rope out with us, and it’s all packed away into a compact Rhino carry bag.

And, before you dismiss this as breathless advertising for a product we got given, let us assure you: We paid retail price for all of the gear you see here. It’s that good. Check it out in the video above, and then do us a favor and like the video and subscribe to our YouTube channel.

00:00 Hey guys, Aaron Richardson, Executive Editor at UTV Driver.
00:05 We're out here at Windrock, another beautiful day in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, and I thought
00:09 I would take a minute to show you guys some of the tools and recovery gear that we bring
00:12 along on the trail with us.
00:14 First, we have our tool roll from Rhino USA.
00:19 This is a corduroy nylon bag.
00:22 It's really stout.
00:23 It's got some really nice large plastic buckles and good solid nylon webbing holding it secure.
00:29 It's about 18 inches long and ours weighs about 10 pounds with everything in it.
00:35 So it's super compact.
00:36 It's easily thrown into the bed of your UTV or into a gear bag.
00:41 And inside, there's enough room to take care of anything you might run into on the trail.
00:47 So it's clearly marked and organized.
00:49 You've got sockets, wrenches, pliers, miscellaneous tools, and a bag called specialty.
00:55 We sort of just throw stuff in there.
00:57 But you can see we've got enough room here in the bag for sockets for one, two ratchets,
01:03 as many extensions as you'll need, a half inch to 3/8 inch drop down extension for our
01:11 impact gun, which we keep in another bag.
01:13 We've got as many box and gear wrenches as you can shake a stick at.
01:18 We've got mini wrenches.
01:21 We've got hex wrenches in here.
01:23 It all fits nicely.
01:26 And then in miscellaneous tools, we have bit drivers and screwdriver bits and the ever
01:32 popular zip tie.
01:34 And then we keep our wheel lug socket for the wheel lugs on our Can-Am in there too.
01:41 So we've got this and it just rolls up nicely, packs down neatly.
01:47 Throw it wherever you want and you're on your way.
01:51 The other piece that we carry every time we come out now is our Rhino USA recovery bag.
01:57 Again, it's that bulletproof quarter in nylon.
02:02 The bag is pretty standard.
02:03 Again, it's a couple feet long and not very big around so it packs down nicely.
02:09 And inside there's not one, not two, not three, but four soft shackles and a big old 5/8 inch
02:18 kinetic rope.
02:21 And there's nice details in here.
02:23 It's packed down nicely with a piece of Velcro so that you can keep it contained.
02:27 It's easy to fold back up when you're done.
02:29 And it's just a really stout piece.
02:31 They really thought through the details and we love having it with us.
02:34 It's just that extra piece of security.
02:36 So you can go with Rhino USA, you can go with whoever you want to, but we love their stuff.
02:43 We have plenty of it.
02:44 We keep it on us at all times and it's just an extra little piece of security when we're
02:48 out here getting wild.
