00:00 Ramp Travel Index test number two, this time with the mighty KRX-4ES.
00:13 Typically a machine that gets high marks for its excellent suspension.
00:19 Super flexy, super supple, absolutely love it.
00:24 So part of RTA testing is making sure that your tire pressure is correct because it can
00:29 have a huge impact on how the vehicle performs.
00:33 Lower tire pressure typically yields a better result.
00:36 So we always run everything at factory.
00:38 The KRX takes 12 PSI in the front and 17 in the rear.
00:43 Other things to keep in mind.
00:45 Shock stiffness can have an impact.
00:47 So on this rig we have gone ahead and adjusted the suspension all the way to soft.
00:53 Let's see over there, change everything.

01:03 Okay, now we're ready.
01:05 Tire pressures are all set.
01:08 Steady as he goes bud.
01:13 Watch her go, watch her go.
01:23 Look at this, look at this monster.

01:35 All right, we got the front locker on.
01:39 All right, steady as she goes.
01:44 All right, so we got our little carpenter square there.

02:09 Pretty good, that's up there.
02:11 That's good.
02:12 Long wheelbase definitely helps.
02:13 All right, let's do some math.
02:16 So the old KRX acquitted herself well.
02:18 It's only without the math.
02:20 585.3 on the RTI, which means it is the second best performing rig we've had behind the R-Max.
02:28 Third if you count my CJ2A.
02:30 That's impressive.
02:32 That's really good.
02:34 And again, all of these numbers are just things to put in your back pocket when you're shopping.
02:41 If you're primarily doing open desert bashing or poking around on forest roads, this stuff doesn't really matter.
02:48 But if you're doing any sort of more technical rock climbing, that sort of thing, RTI score is a good indication of how confident the rig's going to feel off-road.
02:57 And it's one of the reasons why we love this machine so much.
