00:00 Hey folks, we just got done riding Aprilia's new 2021 Tuono V4 and Tuono V4 Factory.

00:10 These are liter and above size naked bikes from the Aprilia factory out of Noelli, Italy.

00:19 Now, Aprilia has been crafting its Tuono naked bikes since the 2002 model year.

00:27 19 years of Tuono and these motorcycles are just awesome.

00:34 Let's start with the engine.

00:36 This Tuono V4 Factory is powered by Aprilia's 1077 65 degree V4 engine.

00:45 This is the same engine capacity Aprilia used in the previous Tuono V4.

00:52 They chose not to bestow this engine with the one millimeter piston stroke increase

00:58 like they did the RSV4 sport bikes, but that's okay.

01:03 This engine just makes a hellacious amount of power.

01:07 I love how exhilarating this motorcycle is to ride.

01:12 With its electronic quick shifter, it's just a hoot to roll up through the six speed gearbox.

01:19 The sound, the visceral character and engine vibration that this powertrain makes.

01:26 This is easily one of the most charismatic and fun riding powertrains in the entire motorcycle world.

01:36 Chassis on this motorcycle, as usual, Aprilia, if there's one thing they really know how

01:42 to do well, that is chassis development.

01:45 And the chassis on this motorcycle, it is just awesome.

01:49 This motorcycle is so nimble, it's stable.

01:53 The Tuono V4 Factory with its semi-active Olean suspension, I love this stuff.

02:00 You just put it in the mode you want, set it, forget it.

02:04 Let the machine do the dampening adjustment in real time based on rider control input

02:11 or vehicle dynamic.

02:13 I love it.

02:14 I would absolutely spend the $3,500 extra to move up from the $16,000 base Tuono V4

02:21 to the $19,500 Tuono V4 Factory, which you see here.

02:28 Now, in terms of the ergonomics, Aprilia tweaked the way that we riders interact with this motorcycle.

02:35 It's got a redesigned fuel tank.

02:37 It still has a big 4.7 gallon capacity fuel tank, which I like, of course, because this

02:43 engine is so thirsty at the fuel pump, you're going to be burning a lot of gas.

02:47 Thankfully, this thing has the capacity to keep you rolling.

02:52 This motorcycle also now benefits from LED headlamp, LED tail light.

02:59 The tail light has a function in it too.

03:01 So if the vehicle deaccelerates at a very rapid pace, the tail light will automatically

03:08 flash rapidly to help alert riders and drivers behind you.

03:13 You have to remember, these liter and above size naked bikes have tremendous braking and

03:19 stopping power.

03:20 And a lot of times you can brake so quickly on this motorcycle that vehicles behind you

03:25 can't even understand how that can happen.

03:27 Thankfully, Aprilia was focusing on the details.

03:30 We love that passive safety feature.

03:34 Good job, Aprilia.

03:36 Let's move to the dashboard.

03:37 This motorcycle is fitted with a five inch color TFT display.

03:42 This is a huge improvement for Aprilia.

03:45 The previous instrument display was just junk.

03:49 This thing looks way better.

03:51 The way it's designed is very easy to use.

03:53 It's very similar to your iPhone.

03:55 You just scroll through the menu.

03:57 You can adjust the engine power, the engine brake, the launch control, the wheelie control,

04:02 the suspension settings.

04:04 This thing has all the bells and whistles.

04:07 It also has cruise control standard.

04:10 And probably one of the biggest features I like on this motorcycle is the ability to

04:14 actually tune traction control and wheelie control independently of each other while

04:20 you're riding with these paddle style shifters.

04:24 Aprilia's had that technology for quite a while with its adjustable on the fly traction

04:30 control, and that is awesome.

04:33 You can also manually disable the traction control by just holding on one of those levers

04:39 even when you're riding.

04:40 It's just absolutely awesome.

04:43 Overall, I'm really pleased with what Aprilia's done with its Tuono V4 naked bikes.

04:49 They have made the standard Tuono a little bit more capable in terms of street comfort

04:56 with its higher bar, its tall windscreen.

04:58 Yet, if you want something that's still pretty racy, you can upgrade to this $19,500 Tuono

05:06 V4 factory and still have that shorter fly screen, that little bit more aggressive ergonomics,

05:12 and that nice solo tail.

05:15 I love these motorcycles.

05:16 They are an absolute hoot to ride.

05:19 They have all the electronics.

05:21 And if you're looking for a high performance naked bike that's really just going to knock

05:26 your socks off in terms of handling, acceleration, and just general fun factor, this Aprilia
