00:00 So I mentioned before you can transfer a child trust fund into a junior ISA.

00:03 The child trust fund, any child between the 1st of September 2021, 2002,

00:09 which is basically a 21-year-old, or the 2nd of January 2011,

00:14 so a 12-year-old, will have had a child trust fund and the state will have added money even if you didn't.

00:20 Up to a million children have these accounts unknowingly,

00:24 and they're worth on average around £1,000-ish in a child trust fund.

00:28 So if you don't know about it, you've got a kid that age, go to gov.uk/childtrustfunds

00:34 and you can locate and trace where the money is.

00:38 Parents can do it for under 18s, 16+s can do it for themselves.

00:41 If you don't know you've got one of those, it really is worth checking if you're in that age bracket.
