00:02 Let's start off with a more sensitive story here.
00:05 Kelly Oubre Jr., who had just such a freak accident
00:08 and of course has been off the court.
00:11 Now, the head coach of the Sixers, Nick Nurse,
00:14 says that, you know, he's doing okay.
00:17 I know the Sixers are going to need him probably
00:20 to go far in this thing.
00:21 Maybe they don't need him right now.
00:22 Gilbert, the season's very long.
00:23 But good news at least to hear that he's in good spirits, right?
00:28 Absolutely. Such a jarring notification to get to your phone
00:31 that a member of the 76ers is hit by a car
00:34 in a hit-and-run accident.
00:35 And very thankful that it wasn't as serious
00:38 as it could have been.
00:38 I know he sustained some broken ribs
00:40 and some injuries are going to keep him off the floor
00:42 for a little while.
00:43 But like you said, he's in good spirits
00:44 and he's going to be working with their training staff
00:47 to get back on the floor as soon as possible.
00:49 Kelly Oubre is a guy who--
00:50 He was here in Charlotte for the past few seasons
00:52 and I got a chance to kind of brush shoulders with him
00:54 and saw what kind of person he is.
00:55 So, thinking about him as a person
00:58 and cheering for him as a person in his recovery
01:00 to get back on the floor and play
01:01 because he's playing a great role
01:03 for the 66ers this year.
01:04 I think people kind of thought of his signing
01:06 as an afterthought for them,
01:07 but he's proving to be a big part
01:08 of what they do in Philadelphia.
01:09 And if they want to contend for a title
01:12 in the Eastern Conference,
01:13 he'll be a big part of it.
