00:00 Britney Spears' mom is accusing her of lying in her memoir.
00:10 And this is all revolving around the childhood home of Britney Spears and the fate of her
00:15 childhood belongings.
00:16 From dolls to her journals.
00:19 What happened to all of Britney Spears' stuff?
00:21 That is the big question.
00:23 So in her memoir titled The Woman in Me, Britney Spears shared some details of her challenging
00:29 experiences as a child star.
00:35 Shedding light on less favorable aspects of her relationship with her parents, including
00:40 the fights that they had, as well as her dad's drinking problem.
00:51 And Britney's perspective paints a picture of a little girl who enjoyed hiding in cabinets
00:57 and singing.
00:58 However, as she grew up, she felt thrown away by her family.
01:03 And during a visit home in 2020, this is all during the COVID pandemic, she noticed that
01:18 many of her childhood items, like dolls and notebooks, journals, all that stuff, were
01:23 missing.
01:24 And this intensified the feelings of being discarded or thrown away by her family.
01:30 But now Britney Spears' mom, Lynn Spears, she is actually responding with a straight
01:36 up denial of this whole thing.
01:38 She is insinuating that Britney Spears is lying, her stuff aren't missing, they're
01:42 not thrown away, she wasn't discarded by the family.
01:45 And she chose to share her message on social media, even though they were reportedly in
01:49 direct communication earlier in 2023, which is the year that Britney Spears' memoir
01:55 is released.
01:59 Lynn Spears actually posted a couple of photos and one image she posted on Instagram had
02:03 the caption that read, "I would never sell my daughter's things.
02:07 Get your facts straight @dailymail."
02:10 So of course, this is alluding to the idea that Britney Spears' mom didn't just throw
02:14 away her stuff, but she actually sold them because they belonged to Britney Spears.
02:18 And of course, they would have a high price tag attached to them.
02:21 And in another post, Lynn also posted photos of dolls and a thick binder along with a message
02:28 both denying the allegations as well as extending an offer to her daughter, Britney.
02:33 And here's what Lynn said, "@BritneySpears, I'm not sure who told you I got rid of your
02:39 dolls and journals, but I would never do that."
02:42 In the caption, Lynn Spears goes on to state that throwing away those items would be cruel
02:47 because they hold sentimental value for Britney.
02:52 On the other hand, she didn't offer an explanation for why these items seemed to be missing during
02:57 Britney's visit back in 2020.
03:00 And in the shared photos, most of the dolls are displayed in a glass case, making it unclear
03:05 if these are the specific items that Britney Spears is referring to.
03:09 Her caption concludes by saying, "Of course I still have your things, and I am happy to
03:14 send them to you if you'd like me to.
03:17 Please let me know and know how much I love you."
03:20 Lynn didn't go on to address any other allegations that Britney Spears made in her book about
03:25 her, such as providing alcohol to Britney in the 8th grade or neglecting her pleas for
03:30 support during her conservatorship in a mental health facility.
03:34 By the way, the Louisiana home where Lynn raised Britney is now listed for $1.2 million,
03:40 and that's a significant increase from the price that her father, Jamie Spears, sold
03:44 it for in 2021.
03:54 And the current owner is confident in the price hike, not solely due to the rise of
03:59 property values in general, but because of the history of the house.
04:06 Jamie Spears, Britney's father, resided in that house since divorcing Lynn Spears in
04:12 2002, and Realtor reports that Britney's room is a major attraction.
04:18 The room maintains some of her personal touches, including a mirror with stickers and memorabilia,
04:25 like a VIP pass from NSYNC's World Tour 1998.
04:31 The room even features her graffiti on a closet door and her personal dance studio, a separate
04:36 building behind the house.
04:39 Despite these unique features, the property is still on the market at the time of recording
04:44 this video.
04:45 So no buyers yet.
04:46 Either way, it's hard to believe anything that Britney Spears' parents say about Britney.
04:52 What I think is that Britney's mom probably threw away some of Britney's belongings, thinking
04:56 that Britney wouldn't even notice, either because she was upset or just wanted to make
05:01 some space in the house, I don't know, before it was sold.
05:04 Who knows?
05:06 But I think that because she did save some of Britney's items, she's making it seem like
05:10 she never threw away anything that belonged to Britney.
05:13 Yeah, I just really don't trust what Britney's parents have to say about her because of the
05:17 history of mistreatment and her mom just completely ignoring the fact that she was literally getting
05:24 taken advantage of under the conservatorship.
05:27 There's just so much things that it just makes me hard to believe anything that Britney Spears'
05:32 parents say.
05:33 But I'm curious to know what your thoughts are.
