00:00 When you're out at sea, I always feel a little on edge because anything can happen.
00:07 And the second you start to feel comfortable, you don't feel comfortable because anything
00:11 could happen.
00:12 Four years ago, Saxon Evans and Holly Knight bought a small boat and just set sail.
00:19 I was also sick of driving the same route every day and looking at the same stuff every
00:23 day.
00:24 I wanted adventure.
00:25 He's like, "Oh yeah, I want to buy a boat and sail across the Pacific."
00:28 And I was like, "If you're serious, I'll do that with you."
00:34 They started at Vancouver Island, Canada.
00:37 They caught the graveyard of the Pacific because there were so many shipwrecks there back in
00:40 the day.
00:41 Then south along the Californian coast to Mexico.
00:44 Whales, the sea, the marine life was incredible.
00:47 The couple would sail a total of 22,000 kilometers, island hopping across the Pacific Ocean to
00:53 isolated paradises.
00:55 I think it's made me realize how little you can live off.
00:59 Like, all our possessions are in a... we live in a hallway, essentially.
01:03 Losing track of time already.
01:07 Yeah, it is day three.
01:09 You're only focusing on the important stuff.
01:12 You're getting as much sleep as you can, you're making sure the boat is safe and okay, and
01:15 you're just feeding yourself.
01:16 And that's literally all we do for weeks at a time.
01:19 When they needed money, they worked, but would spend up to eight months sailing at a time.
01:24 What sticks with you is the people you meet along the way.
01:27 And we've forged these incredible relationships with so many sailors and people who have helped
01:31 us out on our way.
01:33 They've now returned to the Gold Coast, looking ahead to the next stage of their lives.
01:38 We've spent most of the last four and a half years doing exactly what we want to do.
01:43 I mean, not many people can say that, that's pretty incredible in itself, but I think a
01:46 lot of people could do that.
01:48 Making their dream a reality.
