British artist draws Hong Kong crowds with his 'graffiti spaghetti'

A Hong Kong transport hub was taken over Sunday by googly eyed aliens, extraterrestrial jellyfish and a cast of eccentric characters -- all part of a live performance by British artist Sam Cox, better known as Mr Doodle.

00:22 I really enjoy doing the live performances in front of people
00:26 because I love to be able to give people an insight into the process of how it is to create one of my pieces
00:33 and I love sharing that with people.
00:35 I think it's a really fun, kind of enjoyable process for people to be a part of
00:41 and witness it happening because I'm kind of witnessing it happen as well.

00:52 I don't always know where it's going to go and it's sort of just everyone's there together and enjoying that process.

01:08 I think in this very modern commercial world you need some relaxation, you need some joy and happiness
01:16 and that's what Mr Doodle give and also is engaging younger generation.
01:23 So his work speaks to all different nationalities and it gives them some joy and some happiness.

01:38 I think it kind of relates to a lot of people like outside of the art world as well
01:42 who just like to see doodles everywhere and like this kind of fun idea of just consuming big spaces with doodles.
