Transcript
00:00 Hello guys, my name is Rafa, I'm the area chef for Franco Manca
00:03 and today I'll show you how to make a bruschetta.
00:05 So, we start with the tomatoes.
00:09 Our tomatoes come from the Isles of Wight.
00:12 What we're gonna do, we're gonna get different varieties of tomato,
00:14 as you can see here, different colors,
00:15 just to give a nicer look to your bruschetta.
00:18 And we're gonna chop them too.
00:19 Once all of your tomatoes are cutted, chopped,
00:26 you're gonna mix them together.
00:29 Then we'll add a bit of salt,
00:31 a few pinches of oregano,
00:36 and some basil leaves.
00:45 Make sure when you do your basil leaves,
00:46 don't use a knife to cut it,
00:48 otherwise they're gonna get black very, very fast.
00:51 Some olive oil,
00:52 and mix them well.
00:58 Our next step is to get our bread ready and toasted.
01:02 In this case, I'm gonna be using our sourdough bread.
01:06 Rub your bread, put it in the toaster.
01:09 That's it.
01:14 Once your bread is nice and crisp,
01:16 it doesn't need to be completely toasted,
01:18 just nice and crispy, OK?
01:20 Get it off the toaster,
01:24 get one garlic,
01:27 and scratch it on the base of the bread.
01:32 Just so this way, you're only giving the flavor to the bread,
01:36 not to the tomatoes.
01:37 And you're gonna enhance the flavor of the garlic.
01:41 After that, you can just prepare to serve.
01:45 Grab the tomatoes,
01:47 and place on the top of the bread.
01:49 And place on the top of the bread.
01:51 You can still add a drizzle of olive oil on the top.
02:04 And this is how you make a bruschetta napolitana.
