00:11 I start automatically with my extremities.
00:15 I make sure I'm having warm, thick socks.
00:17 As long as I keep my core warm, the rest of the body pretty much stays warm.
00:21 So I'll have some kind of base layer, thicker base layer, and then a shirt over that.
00:26 And depending on what's going on, maybe like a windbreaker or something like that.
00:30 And then gloves or mittens, depending on how cold it is.
00:34 All right, that guy's ready.
00:35 The cold isn't the only challenge this time of year.
00:38 Snow can also create slick or wet conditions, but there are ways to keep on running.
00:44 Most sneakers that are for trail running are also good for running in the snow or if it's
00:51 wet outside.
00:52 Some of our favorite regular shoes, those companies will put out a winterized kind of
00:57 edition of it that is a little more waterproof or water resistant.
01:01 And they have gator guards to keep moisture out and keep the feet warm, basically.
01:07 Once your feet get wet, it's over.
01:09 Best of luck to all those turkey trotters out there.
01:11 And don't forget to get that t-shirt so you can wear it proudly and say, "Hey, I did a
01:15 race.
01:16 I'm in shape."
