00:02 - I would be remiss if I didn't say
00:03 happy belated birthday to you.
00:05 You know, word on the street has always been, Leo,
00:08 that you were a bit of a hip hop hit,
00:09 and we saw that at your party.
00:11 I loved it.
00:12 If that's what you do for 49,
00:13 are you already thinking about 50?
00:15 - Gotta always think about 50.
00:17 I have a range of musical love
00:19 that goes back to our stuff from the 20s, 30s, and 40s,
00:23 with jazz and blues, and then hip hop, too.
00:25 - That's actually one way that we bonded early on.
00:27 - Really?
00:28 - And then with music, we had a way to connect.
00:31 - And then we talked about old jazz music, too.
00:33 - I don't know what you said,
00:35 but it must have been Indian for "Handsome Devil."
00:37 - Can we talk about him
00:38 like he's not in the room for a second?
00:40 I know it can't be tough to have chemistry
00:42 with Leonardo DiCaprio.
00:43 - I mean, I feel like we just get along pretty easy.
00:46 I attribute it to my dad's a Scorpio,
00:48 so I know how to be around Scorpio men.
00:50 - Is that what it is?
00:51 - Leo and Lily Gladstone play husband and wife
00:53 in this true crime drama about the Reign of Terror,
00:56 a series of murders of the Osage tribe in 1920s Oklahoma.
01:00 - Well, well, well, our war hero has arrived.
01:04 You gonna pick a side?
01:07 - It's getting a lot of buzz, a lot of accolades.
01:10 Leo, you've been through the awards season many times.
01:12 - Let me preface this by saying that hasn't happened yet,
01:15 and we'd be, of course, honored if it did.
01:17 We are very proud of this movie,
01:19 and I couldn't be more proud of it.
01:21 - And let's do a quick count.
01:23 This is Leo's third film with Robert De Niro,
01:25 and his sixth with director Martin Scorsese.
01:28 - He's been a cinematic father figure to me,
01:29 much like Mr. De Niro has.
01:32 I've looked up to them as the great duo of my generation.
01:37 So to be able to do six films now with Marty,
01:41 and then 30 years later, after my first starring role,
01:44 getting to do a collaboration with the three of them
01:47 was kind of mind-blowing.
