Police searching for man suspected of murdering his wife

A major manhunt is underway for a gunman who allegedly murdered his wife in Adelaide this week.

00:07 week as 55-year-old mother Jodie Jewell.

00:11 Police say that she was a victim of domestic violence that went unreported to police.

00:23 That is after one of Jodie's friends contacted police who was concerned about her welfare.

00:41 The couple had been living at the property along with their daughter.

00:45 Police say that the daughter was not at home at the time of this alleged murder.

00:52 Police have also said that the couple had become quite estranged in recent times.
