Eddie Faulkner Sends Message to Steelers Fans

The Pittsburgh Steelers new offensive coordinator addressed the media for the first time since being promoted.

00:03 Number one, I'm super excited about the opportunity.

00:06 I'm thankful to Coach Tomlin, the Rooney family, Omar,

00:10 anybody involved in this decision to give me an opportunity.

00:14 Super excited about it.

00:15 That's the first thing I want to say.

00:17 Second thing, Matt Kansas is a friend of mine.

00:21 We're friends.

00:22 I care about his well-being.

00:24 I care about his family.

00:25 Our wives are friends, our parents are friends, our kids are friends.

00:28 We spend a lot of time together, love the dude.

00:31 I couldn't say enough good about Matt Kansas.

00:34 And so it's a little bit bittersweet in that way, because when you sit back and

00:38 you see all that goes on and all that's being said about him and the offense,

00:43 we all, and I'm speaking for the offense when I say this to the staff,

00:46 we all felt that.

00:47 We're all part of that.

00:49 And so nobody's absolving themselves from anything that's happened in that regard.

00:53 We feel like we let him down.

00:55 So I got to say that, because that's what a real one would do.

00:58 You know what I mean? And that's a friend of mine, and

01:00 that's not gonna change.

01:00 So I got to get that off.

01:03 And then the third thing is, I feel a little bit sorry for y'all,

01:05 because now you got two light-skinned brothers playing as coordinators.

01:10 Y'all got to get them pictures right.

01:14 forth with TA's wife talking about, I guess your husband's my husband today.

01:20 >> So y'all get that right so

01:22 we can stop having them conversations.

01:24 I wanted to say those things, man, just to get it out in the open.

01:28 But Matt's my guy, and that ain't gonna change just because we fell on some

01:33 rough times, and I stand by that.
