00:47 I've been at Ol' Red in other places, but not Nashville.
00:50 But can you talk about that feeling?
00:52 'Cause even just watching the episode I saw
00:56 for this season with Kelly and Michelle,
00:58 having met both of those ladies,
01:00 you know, it's great to see how much fun they're having.
01:02 Can you talk about the energy in the place
01:04 when you guys are doing this?
01:06 - Oh my gosh.
01:07 The energy is so incredible.
01:09 The energy is so incredible.
01:11 It's like full vacay vibes.
01:13 Like people come into Blake's Bar, Ol' Red,
01:17 in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.
01:19 And as you can see,
01:20 these are like celebrities that you never get to see
01:23 this side of them before.
01:24 And because the energy is so fun,
01:26 they walk in, they let their hair down,
01:28 the guards go down,
01:29 and they're just themselves.
01:30 And they're having so much fun.
01:32 And I think it's so neat that people get to see
01:34 this side of these celebrities,
01:36 as well as then the competition side.
01:38 Because let me tell you,
01:39 that energy also makes you want to compete and do your best.

01:48 We're kicking this competition off with a new game.

02:50 - Yeah, it's interesting seeing that competition,
02:52 but also seeing how they interrelate
02:53 to these people who have gone viral.
02:56 I sort of like that aspect of it.
02:58 Did that come, was that initially part of the discussion
03:01 of how you guys wanted to do this
03:03 and how Blake and Carson talked to you guys about it?
03:05 - Yes, so that was from day one when they brought it to me.
03:10 They had the viral VIPs in there.
03:12 And when they were telling me all about that,
03:14 I was like, this is pure genius
03:16 because I'm someone who like millions of us in the world,
03:20 scroll reels, and we all know all these people
03:23 who've gone viral on the internet.
03:24 Like literally when they've come through,
03:25 I'm like, I know who that is.
03:27 Like I've seen their video a hundred times,
03:30 but I think they add such like a great another layer
03:34 to the show and a lot of fun
03:35 because to see them mixed in with these celebrities
03:37 and people that you would never probably put
03:40 in the same room ever, and then they all have fun.
03:42 They create these like incredible bonds,
03:44 but it's the roasting part to it as well.
03:47 Like we all just get to roast each other and have fun.
03:50 And when I look at the viral VIP and celebrity,
03:52 you look at them as the same.
03:54 It's like so amazing.
03:56 All of a sudden the viral VIP is just like last season,
03:58 like telling Gwen how to do it or whoever it may be.
04:02 And I'm like, this is amazing.

05:01 the personalities come out.
05:02 Like watching Kelly roast in a way, Michelle,
05:06 saying, "You have to hit it, you have to hit the board."
05:08 Especially with the ax throwing.
05:10 You're just like, "Wow."
05:11 But it's about deconstruction because, you know,
05:14 you're very big, and you and your sister too,
05:17 on social media.
05:18 So it's about how do you be authentic by,
05:20 and also deconstruct, but to let people in.
05:23 - I agree.
05:24 I feel like why this show has been a massive success.
05:27 It's a show that we just needed in our world at this time.
05:31 I feel like everything on TV can tend to be super dramatic,
05:35 or very serious, or not just all the good vibes.
05:38 And then here comes in "Barmageddon,"
05:40 and Blake and Carson were genius in creating it,
05:43 is because sometimes we just want to have an hour
05:45 of pure joy and laughter.
05:47 And that's what we bring to you.
05:48 And I think it's also refreshing to see these celebrities
05:51 in more of a relatable type of light.
05:54 So it's like, "Wow, Kelly Clarkson really gets down
05:56 just like me, and has a lot of fun just like me."
05:59 Or, "Michelle Rodriguez plays games just like me,
06:02 and how they talk and roast each other."
06:04 And I think it's just really great for people to have.
06:07 And I think that's why so many people are tuning in,
06:09 is because it literally makes you feel so good.
06:12 It makes you want to be at the bar with all of us.
06:14 - Spinning the wheel,
06:15 because does anybody ever turn down a drink at that bar?
06:19 It's, I'm not sure.
06:20 It looks awesome.
06:22 - I'm trying to, oh, the Wheel of Redemption.
06:24 It's my favorite.
06:25 I can't wait to see what someone's going to take.
06:28 I feel like one time,
06:30 we are about to have someone turn it down,
06:32 and the bar was chanting so loud.
06:35 And Blake and Carson were literally like,
06:36 "You can't do this.
06:37 Like, you can't turn down the wheel."
06:39 You can, but like, you're going to get roasted so bad
06:42 if you say no to the Wheel of Redemption.
06:44 So there's no other choice than taking what you got.

07:31 - I mean, the thing is,
07:32 I love how they're always in the corner making drinks.
07:35 I mean, when you guys are like, you know,
07:37 'cause obviously it takes time to shoot a show,
07:39 you know, maintaining the energy.
07:41 Are you guys rallying the crowd up all the time?
07:43 What does it take to create, you know,
07:46 that sort of atmosphere?
07:47 - You know, that's where I got to give it
07:49 to Blake and Carson, like,
07:51 the fact that they pushed to make sure
07:53 that they were really in Blake's bar to film,
07:56 that energy in Nashville, it's just, it's contagious.
07:59 And let me tell you, they start it in the morning
08:01 and they go till like 3 a.m.
08:02 Like, so it's like almost 24-hour energy.
08:05 But when you're in that bar and you're,
08:07 you got Blake and Carson there the whole time,
08:09 and myself, two incredible celebrities, viral VIPs,
08:13 we have our live crowd.
08:14 Everyone literally is just hanging out and chatting
08:17 as we're like having our next game ready to play.
08:20 We're just all in this country vibe.
08:22 And I think it's because it's a real place
08:25 and has that real energy is like how it keeps going.
08:28 You're almost fired up to see the next game.
08:30 And I have to tell you,
08:31 our live crowd gets into it just as much.
08:34 They're just as much a part of the show
08:35 because they start to create their own chants
08:37 or they start to pick and choose who they want to win.
08:40 And we open up every show with Blake and his band
08:43 and we close every show with Blake and his band.
08:45 So the energy starts off amazing, it ends amazing.
08:49 And then just the in-between, it just never stops.
08:51 - All right, Ben, you're up.

09:29 - My last question, those games, I mean, you know,
09:31 the Fool's Ball, just seeing some of these celebrities
09:33 gonna hit the face, I'm like, oh my God,
09:35 but they just go with it.
09:36 Can you talk about some of these games
09:39 and how they sort of bring out,
09:40 A, you said the competitive nature,
09:42 but bring out the fun.
09:43 Because they're all over the place in certain ways.
09:46 - Yeah, I mean, I have to tell you,
09:48 I get shocked at times too,
09:49 'cause I'm like, is someone gonna complain?
09:51 But no, it's, you know, we all,
09:53 I think until you go out and have fun in games,
09:57 you realize like how much, no matter what age you are,
10:00 like you need to have that child's play in you
10:03 and you need to have it come out.
10:04 That's like, you know, they'll talk about that
10:06 when people are in therapy or all that,
10:07 like go do something childish and be playful
10:10 and bring that out.
10:11 And that is what our show does.
10:13 And we've never had one complaint.
10:15 If anything, people wanna play more games.
10:17 I was at the People's Country Music Awards
10:20 for the first time.
10:21 I can't tell you how many artists stopped me
10:23 and was like, hey, I really need to be
10:24 on your show next season.
10:25 And it was like, I was walking around as like a top dog
10:28 because everyone wanted to be on "Barmageddon"
10:30 and it was such a cool feeling,
10:31 but it's literally because when you're in that
10:34 and you're having that much fun, you don't want it to end.
10:37 And that's what those games do.
10:38 That's what they bring out.
