: "My son and I both love to dance, so when he got married we knew that we wanted to do something a little more energetic than just a slow, sad dance. The wedding was at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum on October 14, 2023. Kevin and I took a few lessons when I would come to Dallas to visit. We were the last of the family dances, so we wanted to get the crowd hyped up to dance! We started slow to 'I Hope You Dance,' then changed to 'Let's Groove' by Earth, Wind, and Fire. That song was definitely part of my growing-up years, but it was my son that chose it! We kept it fun, but simple; I was dancing in a long dress after all. Kevin's wife knew we were doing something but did not want to see it before the wedding. I asked one of my friends if she knew we were going to spice it up a bit, and she said that she would have been disappointed if we hadn't! We had a blast and made a lasting memory that I will always cherish."
