Symbio Wildlife Park in Helensburgh is putting the finishing touches on their new Little Penguin enclosure. Zookeeper manager Julie Mendezona provides some penguin facts as we get a glimpse at the resort-style enclosure before the penguins arrive later in 2023. Video by Marlene Even

00:03 facts about little penguins.
00:05 So they are the smallest species of penguin in the world.
00:08 They stand at around 30 centimetres tall and weigh approximately 1 kilogram in body weight.
00:14 Now they are one of 18 different species of penguins found only in the Southern Hemisphere
00:21 and one of their main preferred foods are actually peaches and squid and fish.
00:30 We're so excited to invite our 10 new little penguins here at Simpio Wildlife Park very soon.
